I was assigned to supervise the SS2 Science exam today. When I entered the classroom, the class captain brought me 2 bottle of Fanta and some Gala. I asked what it was for, and he said that the entire class had contributed money to buy them for me. I then asked how they knew I would be the one supervising them, and he simply smiled. I thanked them and kept them on the table. When the exam started, I gave clear instructions: once I caught anyone cheating, I would send them out of the classroom. Even though I didn’t mean it, out of nowhere, one of the students said, After you’ve collected our Gala and drinks…? I replied that the items were still on the table and that they could take them back after the exam. I stood by my decision and maintained strict supervision throughout. In the end, I sent at least six students out of the exam hall for cheating.
