Meanwhile, resource-rich countries with a fraction of the population sit in darkness, debt, and decay. So how? How does a nation of 1.4 billion pull this off while countries with more resources, fewer mouths to feed and centuries of head-start are still stuck? How do they move this fast, build this big, dream this far? What are they doing that we aren’t?

I sell cement at the market here in Abeokuta. A customer came to pay for 150 bags of cement, collected receipt and disappeared for over 4 months. Yesterday, he came back with trucks to carry the cement. He said he had been seriously sick since the day after he made payment, that’s why he couldn’t come earlier. I explained to him that the price of cement has increased since then and he needs to add more money before carrying the goods. I even offered to refund the exact amount he paid back then if he’s not comfortable. Omo, the man got angry immediately 😩 He said he’s not adding any money and he’s not collecting refund. According to him, “na the cement wey I pay for I wan carry.” He even threatened to drag me legally next week. Before he drags me, that’s why I said I should ask if I’m really wrong because honestly, market price don go up and I no wan lose money o. Pls what do I do now I need your advice it seems this man wants to chêât me ?

Labeling Pope Leo ‘weak’ or ‘terrible’ does not strengthen America’s moral standing; it merely fuels division. Strong national defense, secure borders, and the rule of law are not only compatible with Catholic teaching—they flow from the very principles of justice and subsidiarity that the Church has long defended. As an American and a priest, I have insisted that the Church must speak for the vulnerable, including immigrants, even when enforcement policies are necessary. But the Church’s mission is not to micromanage Pentagon strategy or crime bills. Let the Holy Father preach the Gospel of life and peace upholding a horizon toward which all people can be drawn and let the President govern according to the oath he took before God and the Constitution.

EndSARS started when Yahoo boys got tired of settling policemen in the SouthSouth. Even their girlfriends came out to protest. Then the protest was moved to Lagos. Yahoo boys heavily sponsored the protest. Governor Sanwo-olu came, took their request to Abuja and got their 5 for 5 request approved. Immediately he came back, they change it from EndSARS to EndBadGovt. That was when people realized the protest wasn't about SARS anymore.
