This interview was conducted in 1959 by a British journalist. Hear what Sir Amhadu Bello said about the IBOS and compare it to what we are witnessing today. “Well, the Igbos are more or less the type of people whose desire is mainly to dominate everybody. If they go to a village, to a town, they want to monopolize everything in that area” Just listen to it.

Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, South South every tribe in Nigeria. Muslims, Christians, traditional worshippers, everyone. Do not put your tribe over this country. Put Nigeria first. Say no to tribalism. Say no to bigotry. Stop killing one another. Stop killing one another. Before you are a bandit, a kidnapper, or anything else, remember that you are human. My heart goes out to the people of Jos

Dear @BBCWorld @BBCNews @BBCBreaking @BBCAfrica @BBC, this is a call to notify you that the recent interview granted to @KevinblakC through your BBC Igbo news channel must have been done out of not knowing his stock in trade. @KevinblakC is a failed comedian who hides under tribal bigotry wrapped with a deception of advocating for "good governance". He pretends to mimic the politicians of other ethnic stocks and political parties not in tune with his political affiliation which is Obi-DENTs. Many folks who bought his artistry without deep understanding of his gimmicks were amazed recently when he went full defensive of a governor in the South East region if the country he comes from. To him, the politicians he supports are not to criticized even if there is obvious evidence and reasons to do otherwise. Furthermore, he has added another type of ridiculousness to his genre of comedy by introducing what I term "Tribal Misogyny". In the post under which I'm commenting, the author of this post is trying to make reference to a comedy skit where he referred to Yoruba (an ethni group in Nigeria) women in general as being "carriers of sexual infection". This brings me to ask the question on whether you conduct a background checks on those you platform on your programmes. I know this may not be a BBC World Service issue, but I think your channel in Nigeria needs to be moderated properly, especially those from the Igbo side cos they've held deep-seated animosity and hatred against Yoruba people since the end of the 2023 elections. We've seen a lot of calls for harm and even attacks against Yoruba people by these folks. In 2024, a lady who resides in Canada called for the poisoning of Yoruba people in Nigeria. Another X account being run by an Igbo last year asked for "Yoruba people to be unalived, for Nigeria to be better". These are not mere threats, but we have been managing the situation with maturity and restraint in order to create a chaotic situation in the country. We are asking that you moderate your station properly and stop platforming people with hypocritical political stance and are in the trade of stoking ethnic tensions like @KevinblakC on your illustrious and edified broadcast stations. He is a bad influence on the society. Thank you for your review of this post.
