@Maxxx669045 @JayVTheGreat I've been thinking about what you said and it's mostly true. You left out limited government and States rights.
The Southern Conservatives have been trying to limit Fed power so they can discriminate against Black people for 150 years. This has remained true regardless of party.
English

You still don't get it. The platforms didn't switch either. The old Southern Democrats ran on government enforced segregation, white supremacy, and economic populism. The new Republicans won the South decades later by running on low taxes, free markets, deregulation, and a colorblind meritocracy. Republicans didn't adopt the old Democratic platform; they utterly destroyed it by running on the exact opposite principles.
English

This man finds it extremely aggravating when you are in a left hand turn lane and the car in front stops at the white line.
He says you pull into the middle of the intersection and take control of the intersection and wait there. If oncoming traffic doesn’t let up, you turn as the light is about to turn red and oncoming traffic stops.
Many said that defensive driving classes tell you to stay behind the white line until you can make a turn and have a safe exit and this causes accidents.
He says that any CDL class will tell you to take control of the intersection and pull up to the middle of it, that way everyone isn’t waiting three rotations to get through the light.
What do you do? How do you drive? Do you stay behind the white line or do you pull into the intersection?

Never leave the gas pump in America until the screen resets
More and more people are finding a screw where you take and return the nozzle
If you pay with your card, this stops the gas pump from resetting
Someone is watching and waiting. When you leave they’ll quickly pull in and pump as much gas as they want into their car or gas cans
This is happening everywhere in America so you need to be very careful
Typically someone can pump about $175 bucks worth of gas from one purchase

@DagnyTaggartUSA Why are you showing pictures of organic products?
Everyone knows organic costs more
English

One week of groceries for a family. Nothing extravagant. Just the bare bones in a blue state.
I stay home. My husband only leaves the house to work. We have cancelled vacations. Taken our children out of extracurricular activities. Cancelled our gym membership’s. We do not go out to restaurants frequently. I’m wearing the same old clothes that I have for years and I need socks and underwear, but that will have to, I guess, never happen. @RFKJr_Official @POTUS @JDVance HELP!

English

@Winstonsmi7484 @JayVTheGreat Who would pay for the special ed kids to go to these amazing schools? The private schools have had centuries to fill this gap but they haven't done it because it doesn't make enough money.
If anything they would reduce the parameters of spec. Ed to cheapen the cost. The kids lose
English

@kingdesy @JayVTheGreat There would be a whole successful business of providing the best possible care for special ed kids if we allowed a competitive market to exist instead of a government funded one that rewards the school for failing the kids.
English

@Winstonsmi7484 @JayVTheGreat All parents have a choice. Their kids can be reading before they get to kindergarten. The fact that that's not happening has to be addressed before we gut the funding for the schools.
If parents don't help kids with homework and support learning them how can schools succeed?
English

@kingdesy @JayVTheGreat Cont "oh your kdis are doing the worst. Clearly you need more money." Vs "I choose where my kid goes. Your kdis do the worst. You arent getting my business."
English

@Maxxx669045 @JayVTheGreat What started happening in mayoral, state Senate and governor races on the South after 1964?
After 1964 includes the years afterwards. So I never said it all happened at exactly the same time. I pointed out Thurmond who was a leader switched and that local leaders followed suit
English

You are completely guessing. Look at the actual election data post 1964. Democrats maintained overwhelming, veto proof majorities in every Southern state senate and won nearly 90% of gubernatorial races throughout the 60s, 70s, and 80s. The GOP didn't take control of Southern state legislatures until 1994..three decades later. Local Southern politics stayed deep blue for a generation.
English

@Maxxx669045 @JayVTheGreat Goalpost didn't move. You cherry picked data of "winning races" as opposed to the platforms the candidates ran on as their core beliefs.
If new candidates with similar views to old Democrats decide to run as Republicans that aligns with the parties switching their core values.
English

You are shifting goalposts because your timeline collapsed. Moving from "the parties switched in 1964" to "it took 30 years for a completely new generation of politicians to get elected" proves the myth is dead. The actual candidates didn't change affiliation..less than 1% of Southern blue politicians became Republicans. The old Democrats died in office as Democrats, and a new generation of voters replaced them decades later.
English

@Winstonsmi7484 @JayVTheGreat Schools are failing because parents are failing. Parents aren't checking homework because they are working three jobs just to survive if they are present at all.
English

@kingdesy @JayVTheGreat School choice is literally the easiest way to engratiate underprivileged kids into nicer areas and give them a better chance at success. Dems are still fighting desegregation.
English

@Winstonsmi7484 @JayVTheGreat School choice is the easiest way to funnel public money into the pockets of religious donors to the Republican party and people who back the Heritage foundation.
That's what the real play is just dressed up in the language of failing schools.
English

@Winstonsmi7484 @JayVTheGreat No. You can fund the schools in poor areas and incentivize good teachers to work there to build the learning culture instead of removing funding which ensures the schools will fail.
English

@Winstonsmi7484 @JayVTheGreat Who determines what schools are better? That's political. Abbott tried to sneak in testing of kindergarten kids to count for grading of public schools.
Education at the core is a parental issue. Without teaching and support in the home, kids have little to no shot.
English

@kingdesy @JayVTheGreat Now imagine if instead of forcing you to pay for a failing school because of where you live you can use the tax money you pay to follow your student to a better achool. How does that hurt special needs kids? Having more funding for better schools. Thats some propaganda bs.
English

@Winstonsmi7484 @JayVTheGreat Huh? Democrats aren't redlining or anything of the sort. Again Republicans are the ones that deliberately drew a district through the middle of a Black campus to decrease the students voting power. How exactly are Republicans helping Black people?
English

@kingdesy @JayVTheGreat Indeed. And Republicans are trying to end dems continuing that racist practice and screaming republicans are racist for it.
