The DOJ did not indict Comey solely on the basis of the arrangement of the seashells (8647). They indicted him based on what they likely found on his phone and other evidence which implicates him and shows that he intended to call for the assassination of President Trump. That evidence has not yet been revealed to the public.

At the Comey presser AG Blanche was asked "How do you prove intent?" Answer: "Witnesses and documents." He also referred to Comey's phone. That brought something to my mind that @DanBongino discussed on Sean Hannity's podcast today. Nothing is ever deleted on your phone. The FBI has the tools to find everything. I think they may have him cold on intent.

Look at Comey's life style. It does not map onto this reality you're speculating about.
Either he thinks Trump has no power, and his own out of character hubris would seem to agree with this "shell fantasy",

What if Trump didn't fake anything the other night?
He could just predict - like a time traveler, let's say - how the enemy would react if he announced in advance he would and all his Cabinet level people would be at a certain exact spot at a certain exact time where very real security issues would occur.
How HARD would it be to foresee they'd send one of their MK-Ultra brigade at him?
When was the last time he was going to be in a vulnerable venue where they could know he'd be there and get an asset into place?
Now, a lot of variables in play. Something might have prevented the programmed kid from launching.
But this is STILL a far cry from Trump sending some fake assassin at himself, which is what a lot of people are assuming.
Do not trap yourself in one narrative. Some of you seem to think you're 'exploring all the options', but you're not.
I see you out there babbling "Oh cool, cool...Trump faked another assassination attempt against himself, Allen is one of his own!"
Rethink that one.
