Here’s my theory:🔽 We all knew Kendrick was never a real comparison to Drake- that’s why the whole beef felt rigged and over-amplified from the jump. I believe, when it became crystal clear Kendrick couldn’t actually take Drake down as the front (Drake is still standing tall, still dominating the game like nothing happened), they hit that panic uh-oh moment and had to pivot real hard. Now they’re deliberately wheeling Jay-Z out there on a rushed schedule, not because he was the original master plan🤔🤔, but as a desperate opportunistic move by him and the culture! Look at the timing of that GQ interview and all his sudden 2026 moves (Yankee Stadium anniversary shows for Reasonable Doubt & The Blueprint, headlining Roots Picnic, etc.). They’re trying to flood the zone with Jay Z visibility right now to compete with Drake for the culture, steal some of that spotlight, and preempt him before Drake drops again and fully takes over the next era on his own unstoppable terms. The narrative is shifting fast, noone is highlighting kendeick anymore, and some of y’all still can’t read the room. It was always about weakening Drake. Plan A (Kendrick) stalled completely, so they scrambled with this half-baked Plan B: rush Jay-Z into the mix to slow Drake’s momentum- too late- Checkmate anyway. New plan, new narrative🪓🪓🪓
