@pokerheadrush He is either very strong or very weak. Button 3b will be fairly wide and a single king is loose, to go all in on the river . Tempted to close my eyes and call the shove and hope he shows Ax ( player specific though)

Break it Down! You are playing $2/$5. You have $500 in front of you. So does everybody else. Action is folded to you on the hijack. You raise to $20 with 9h-9c. The cutoff folds. The button makes it $55 to go. The blinds fold. You call. The board comes Ks-7d-2c. You check. Your opponent bets $35 into $117. You call. The turn is the 6d. You check. Your opponent bets $105 into $187. You call. The river is the 4s. You check. He moves all-in for $305. What is your process in this moment?

@pokerheadrush What I’m realising from these scenarios is that I am leaving a lot of money on the table and probably one of the reason I am struggling to move up stakes

Most players will not check a full house on the river to trap. They're too worried about the action getting checked around and their precious hand not getting value. We likely have the best hand here. It's a multi-way pot. What do we expect to get value from? You should over-bet shove. I'm not saying it's a great play. I'm saying it's going to work. It's highly likely small blind had a ten when they bet the turn. UTG could easily have a flush. Most of your $1/$3 opponents have never folded a hand stronger than two pair in their lives. They feel like they're owed something when they get dealt those hands. "I never get dealt anything, and now you're expecting me to FOLD THIS HAND?!" If you're playing against nits or solid players who can hand read, by all means, bet smaller. But if you're dealing with bad regs, recreational players, or maniacs then you need to stick the chips in. Remember, using GTO strategies versus weak opponents will cost you money. Use the right play at the right time versus the right opponent to maximize your profits. If you want more free training material just like this be sure to check out my website: Pokerheadrush.com

Break it Down: You are playing $1/$3 live. Everyone has a pretty healthy stack in front of them. Many people have $500 in front of them, and others have thousands. UTG opens to $10. He has around $500 and change. You can't get the exact stack size. UTG+2 calls. Hijack calls. You call on the button with Ad-4d. The cutoff calls. Everyone has at least $500 or $600 in front of them. The board comes 7d-5d-Tc. Everyone checks to you on the button. You bet $25 into the $53 pot. The small blind and UTG players call you. The turn is the Th. Small blind now leads $75 into the $128 pot, leaving themselves around $500. UTG calls. It's on you. You decide to call. The river is the 2d. Both players check to you. You have around $490 in your stack. There is $353 in the middle. You look at your opponent's chips. They have similar stacks. What is your move here? If you do want to bet, how much do you want to bet? What questions could you ask yourself to get better decisions? The questions you should ask yourself at this point are: What hands do my opponents not have? What is the purpose of my bet? What I expecting to happen? Your bet is clearly a value bet. Next, we'll drill what we expect to call us. What does our opponent not have?

@pokerheadrush I don’t think they will have a full house as they would have bet the flop for protection . Doubt they have a 10 either as I would expect the river to be bet too I think the only bet that gets paid is a small value bet may be 1/3 of the pot and gets called by a seven

@CardsChat Reraise again with the intention of going all in if he shoves as best he can have is trips 2 or kj which is a very narrow range. (Kk or jj you would expect to raise pre)

Playing a cash game and open from the button 3x, bb (defends with any two cards, very aggressive). You both started with 150 bbs. They check, you bet pot, they reraise pot, what's your move?

@pokerheadrush I’ve changed my mind a few times but I think I would check the flop and give up the 8 as it could have hit his calling range and he could easily semi bluff a cbet which I would have to fold to . I would look for a better spot to get my money in .

🤔What would you do here? I was playing online poker recently in a $44 tournament. This hand came up. The action folded around to the cutoff who raised to 2 big blinds. He had 143 big blinds to start the hand. Button and small blind folded. The action was on me. I looked down at Kh-Js. I had 85 big blinds to start the hand. There was four big blinds in the pot. I reraised to eight big blinds. The cutoff called. The flop came out 4s-5s-Tc. There was 17 big blinds in the pot. We have 78 big blinds. Cutoff has us covered. My hand is Kh-Js. What would you do here? I encourage any feedback....

@FPLFalse9 Does playing Sterling ahead of Palmer assuming he would play cos of having a rest due to the suspension count as bad planning or very jammy 😂

If you benched Palmer or Darwin this week because you have 8 attackers, that isn’t bad luck or variance. That’s poor planning 🤷🏻‍♂️ #FPL
