It’s disheartening how often people shame public nudity, as if seeing a human body is something to be distressed about. But why? Truly, why? For much of human history, sharing our bodies was a natural part of life. We swam nude together, visited communal baths, and celebrated our physical forms without shame.
In recent times, society has become increasingly uptight and judgmental about bodies. As a result, feelings of isolation and mental distress are at an all-time high. This is no coincidence. When we cover ourselves, we hide parts of our true selves. Even if it’s unintentional, we can never be fully, authentically real when we constantly hide behind garments.
Dare to bare. Dare to be brave. Dare to shine. Life gets better when you do.
