@HarrisonWind @DNVR_Nuggets Don’t disagree at all, but Diallo is not that. Point being they have not drafted or acquired any shooters, and may lose Watson. I get financial restrictions but not really understanding the plan here

@kinnickand @DNVR_Nuggets Jones is a good shooter based on last season, but I think you’d need to target someone who the defense respects more.

I think Alpha Diallo is going to play next season and wonder if this could spell the end for Spencer Jones 🛑

@PatHarty @TheIowaHawkeyes I think she is great. She has done a great job. Fundraising has to improve would be my biggest worry. As we know, today the money does the talking. Good article

@markkiszla Well I have always trusted and believed him. What makes you not believe him? Or should I say why wouldn’t we? He has always been straightforward

How you feeling about Nikola Jokic running out his contract until next summer? Anxious? No big deal? Your thoughts? Please. And thanks.

@Adam_Mares The two man game not as effective without kCP and MPJ. Need shooters. And I love Jamal but his D is weak. We need a strong lead guard and more shooting. Running it back only works with PWat. Need to hit on one of those picks and pay the tax

If you’re trading Jamal, I think your ball handling issue gets worse. And that was a huge issue this postseason. Can JB run two-man game with Jokic like Jamal did in the clutch? Maybe. But not a slam dunk. And would JB be happy in Jokic’s shadow? Would they mesh? Lots of maybes everywhere imo

Since Munetaka Murakami got injured on May 29th, the White Sox are 12-10. And they have faced Framber Valdez, Joe Ryan, Chris Sale, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodón, Tarik Skubal, Troy Melton, Gavin Williams and Parker Messick.

.@ChadLeistikow and I are bumping up Legends & Listeners earlier this week on @IowaEverywhere because of the NBA Draft on Tuesday night. For this week, we’re also adding an old #oniowapod staple — your questions. Drop a question below and we’ll try to answer as many as we can.

@VicLombardi Yeah because we have owners not pushing to win while we have Jokic. If this is just a salary dump off season it’s going to be a lot easier to just check scores next season

@ScottDochterman @HawkeyeReport @TheAthletic Nice job Scott. I think a key takeaway here is all of the imbalance and imperfections get evened out to a degree. And more fan bases have hope. Playoff games on campus would be amazing for even more fan bases.

This one is open. I'm all-in on the 24-team CFP. Last year, 35 power-conference teams had 3 losses or less with 3 weeks to go. The excitement down the stretch would have been palpable. My rationale is in @TheAthletic link. Check it out. nytimes.com/athletic/73181…

@ScottDochterman Why do you think that is? I get Indiana to a certain degree, but where does Oregon fit in that?

@ChrisMWilliams @IowaEverywhere Chris, I don’t disagree. There is some benefit to moving slowly and digesting how things are going. At Iowa KF is old school, but is adapting. Some of these schools will burn out of cash trying to win, while not doing so, and will not be able to keep up when things stabilize

Got through the Cruz/Cantwell bill. The biggest thing that jumped out to me for Iowa schools: federal NIL rules. This could legitimately help save programs in states like ours where lawmakers have moved at a turtle’s pace adapting to what’s happening nationally - perhaps by design. Right now, schools in aggressive NIL states are playing a completely different game.

@ChuckGarfien Having competent people in place certainly helps. Future looks bright. Not sure who all Getz has brought on board but ishbia helps too. 50 years I’ve been a fan, seen all the stuff, but this brand of ball is fun. Bottom line is fun is important

Do the Cavs run it back or decide to make a big change? Hard to tell. Their time horizon as a team (and their salary) isn’t exactly going to make them patient I bet.
