Release Day… After a long wait, I can't help but think this album is coming at just the right time. The time I spent recording these songs were the most enjoyable days of my musical career. After 20 years making music, the freedom and joy I found in making this record can only have come from witnessing God guide me over and through the mountains and valleys of life, love, faith, and music making. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to make this album. Thank you for listening… "When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners." - Romans 5:6 (NLT) found.ee/RightTime

Ok, I know I share a lot of music here. I'm going to share another song (see below for info). But let me first tell you why I share so much. 🧵 1. The Songwriter Initiative is just an amazing group of creative people who love Jesus and love the Church and love music and

My hot take is that there are bad hymns and good hymns and bad praise songs and good praise songs. Can't put me in a box. Also, I love a good hymn-sing. That's my definition of a good time. Songs in general should move you. Emotions aren't bad in worship--male or female. Emotions are human. No one can tell me David wasn't an emotional guy--I read the psalms. Stoicism is fine, especially if that's your cultural background, but it doesn't define what is holy. They should also be culturally appropriate. My grandpa who planted churches in Japan in the 60s fought with our denomination because he wanted that Japanese Christians writing their own songs, in their own cultural music context, and back then, the denom only allowed translations of English songs. And I think about that generationally and culturally. Some songs are truly classic, but just because they're old doesn't mean they're classic.

Check out another powerful theological reflection by Rev. Dr. Robert Kolb, centered on the Center for Worship Leadership song “House on the Rock”. In a world built on shifting sand, Christ alone is the solid foundation through life’s storms: bit.ly/4nBtLGg

As these last days of Lent are upon us and we continue to ponder the death of things and the despair it brings, remember that that the seeds that fall today are being planted by Jesus and grown into the most beautiful garden... youtu.be/sHIjLIUf6Jk?si…

“At just the right time, while we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” (Romans 5:6) I've clung to this verse pretty tightly throughout my life. And one day it hit me. If he did THAT at just the right time, why wouldn't I trust him to do everything at just the right time. That what this song is about. When we know that God does everything at just the right time, what do we have to fear? New Lyric video and Lead sheets are out now... youtu.be/Nca607s3Cb8?si…

There’s nothing I will ever do to merit your love. For I will always be your child So when I hear a voice inside telling me lies I come to your word, I see what you did And ask myself, “why?” … ‘Cause You are GOOD.

Remember the water. Remember the Word. Remember the promise. The first time you heard you were part of a family full of sisters and brothers. Remember. Remember.
