Already having a hit works against them as well, Oshi no Ko being a good example of that. Nothing could beat the Kaguya tie in chapter, I wonder if he meant to end it how he did or just burnt out.

@kirabuilds Yeah j think for a lot of mangaka they never anticipated it getting so popular and they extended the series and took elements from their original ending as earlier plot points. Then sometimes they get rushed to end so they have a lot working against them.

a lot of you are illiterate so you wouldnt know a good ending if it was force fed to you, but really the issue is when your expectations as a reader diverge from what you get. AoT and Naruto endings are actually good barring some complaints. Demon Slayer ending is good. JJK is anticlimatic, but also fine considering the series has a part 2. The ending needs to resolve plot threads and have thematic alignment. When it's abrupt bc of cancellation or there's mega ass pull then it's admittedly bad.
