Ladies, sexual assault/rape is very real. And in as much as you can choose to be idealistic about it with statements "rapists should stop raping" unfortunately the world isn't like that, evil exists. Here are some of the ways you can protect yourself from such evil
• avoid going out with strangers
• avoid getting free rides with strangers
• don't accept money/gifts from any man if you don't intend on sleeping with him
• avoid accepting free drinks
• buy your own drinks, open them yourself & don't leave your drink
• avoid wearing revealing clothes at certain places
• avoid walking alone at night
• don't allow anyone to isolate you from others
• share your location, details of the person you're with & keep your phone on always
• have pepper spray
This is advice that can save you, it doesn't make one a rape apologist but a rape realist. And this isn't victim blaming in case it happens to you, but there are things you can try to implement to avoid it
You need to stop being naive & be realistic for your own safety. The idealistic statement "men should" can get you damaged for life. Because no matter how many awareness campaigns done on rape, there will always be evil people
