very excited to get our students back to face to face learning in the elementary schools. They will be with us again starting on Tuesday the 19th. That is what is right with the world. Still working hard to get our secondary students back as well. Not sure when, but there is hope

I have been able to witness collaboration at its best over the last two days. San Juan County Secondary Principals, in a two county wide PLC(s)to share best practices. It is about all our kids and staff. Thank you to all of those that participated & your incredible leadership

I have been an educator for over 30 years. I can honestly say that today was one of the most inspirational and emotionally gratifying days I have had in my career. To see more busses rolling and students in classrooms with our teachers, was AMAZING. Baby steps, but progress.

Just came back from a great celebration at McCoy where they recognized first and third grade students for attendance, behavior and academic achievement. Great job students and staff, keep up the great work. And thank you parents and families that took time to come and support.

What a great night Lydia Rippey Elementary had last night with Math Night. Over 424 visitors came onto campus for the event. Academics alive and well at the school. Thank you parents and families for showing students what matters most. Thank you LR staff for your hard work.

What a tremendous day yesterday in Tiger Land. We had our Tiger Pride assembly where we recognized our students at Aztec High School for their academic and behavioral accomplishments. Our football team was present to help celebrate with them. Good luck to them this weekend.

The Secretary of Education just came from Aztec High School where he took a quick tour, and then spent time with the Superintendent's Advisory, which is a group of students that meet with the Superintendent twice a month. They had a great conversation about safety and learning

At Leadership San Juan event, where leaders from San Juan County are gathered today to hear about education at San Juan College. They will hear from They just heard from the amazing President of San Juan College Dr. Pendergrass. Great start to an incredible day.

Congratulations to all the schools across our state on the Bonds passed and all the mill levy's that passed. Great things happening our OUR kids in a great state.

We had a tremendous PD day yesterday with all of our Instructional leadership teams from all of our schools. Spent time getting better with Teacher Action Planning. Thank you to Ric Horacek for your leadership in this training.

Enjoyed the PLC work yesterday at Koogler. It was a vertical planning day with Park Elementary through the High School. They had some great conversation and teacher practice, alignment in their disciplines and other topics to help improve over instruction and student achievement

Congratulations to Grant Banash, Operations Director of our District. He was honored today at the Ben Lujan Awards Ceremony as the Plant Manager of the Year for the State of New Mexico. Another piece of evidence of the great things happening in our district. Great job Mr. Banash

So proud of our amazing maintenance and custodial team. Just earned the top rated maintenance award in the state for school districts our size at the annual Ben Lujan Awards. This is based on how we spend our mill funds, take care of our facilities, preventative maintenance.

Today throughout the district our staff worked very hard. They learned together, worked on planning together, and most of all got better together for the benefit of our students and each other. Thank you for a great day of work.
