A Kenyan driver has exposed a motorist allegedly working in collaboration with police. The motorist reportedly slows down near a yellow line, forcing other drivers to overtake illegally, only for police officers waiting nearby to stop and penalize them.

Stop blaming the budget. Kigali runs on half of what Nairobi receives and it is spotless, organized and functional. The difference is not money. The difference is not resources. The difference is not infrastructure. The difference is us. We are corrupt. We are undisciplined. We litter, we bribe, we steal public funds, we elect thieves and then complain about the results of electing thieves. Nairobi is not a city that needs more money. Nairobi needs people who are ashamed of what they have allowed it to become. Until that day comes no amount of funding will fix what is fundamentally a character problem. 😐

President Ruto should stop dismissing Kenyans with polished GDP figures, fake growth numbers and fake hustler narratives. Almost every Kenyan has a story of a relative, friend, or neighbour who was stable two or three years ago but is now struggling to survive. He should leave the podium, go to the ground, and see the real economy....shops closing because rent cannot be paid, businesses dying because customers have no buying power, families skipping basics, and young people losing hope. Go to CBD for instance and see empty shops and stalls. This tough-headed dismissiveness is exactly what pushed the country into the deadly Finance Bill crisis. Kenyans pleaded, warned, protested, and still the government behaved like citizens were the problem. By the time the climbdown came, families were mourning. The fact that Oscar Sudi and the people around him are doing well does not mean the economy is okay. Their wealth is not Kenya’s economy. The real economy is in the kiosks, salons, workshops, farms, markets, rental houses, and homes where people are quietly breaking. Ruto must stop lecturing hungry people about growth. A country is not doing well because those around power are eating. A country is doing well when ordinary people can breathe.

I remember begging the officers to allow us to make Dr. Obwaka comfortable because he was in poor health. We were passed from one person to another, with no clear response (The Investigating Officers and the In-charge). Dr. Obwaka had shared that he had previously undergone heart surgery. When we had no other option, we called emergency medical services and requested an ambulance. Only then did they allow him to receive medical care. Imagine receiving medical attention in the parking area of the Judiciary at Milimani Law Courts. Dr. Obwaka had been unlawfully arrested from his clinic and charged on what were fictitious claims, which were later dismissed. Daktari rage in the light, and don’t let those who pushed your to poor health rest.! #RiPDrObwaka

Children , Kibaki's first Finance Minister David Mwiraria announced that financial year 2003/2004 , Kenya had an excess of budget. There was no need to borrow and every government expenditure was well funded. Good old days.

It is with deep sorrow that I have learnt of the passing of Dr. Job Obwaka, a renowned Obstetrician-Gynaecologist and Board Director at the Nairobi Hospital. To the family of Dr. Obwaka, I extend my heartfelt condolences at this difficult moment. I join you in mourning a man of great resolve, a just and principled son of our motherland, and an intellectual par excellence who devoted his life to saving human life and standing for truth. Dr. Obwaka will be remembered strongly not only for his professional excellence, but also for his courage in moments that demanded integrity and courage. He chose conviction and truth over convenience, and in doing so, affirmed the enduring value of moral leadership and integrity we so deserve as a country. His passing away reminds us, as a nation, of the legacy of those who stood firm in pursuit of justice and the common good. Dr. Obwaka will be remembered for leading his colleagues in resisting the hostile take-over of the Nairobi Hospital by the country’s chief grabber leading to his arrest and incarceration in police custody for days despite his plea that he was having health challenges and advanced age. He left police custody a broken man but stoic that there are Kenyans who cannot succumb to intimidation and police harassment. Though traumatized by the police brutality, he lived a few weeks to narrate his ordeal at the instigation of heartless and cruel grabbers of public and private property. May the Almighty God grant his family peace and comfort, and strengthen his colleagues in the medical profession during this difficult time. May the soul of Dr. Obwaka rest in eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him forever.
