My friend introduced me to fishing. I have caught nothing yet, but at least I own a fishing rod now.

Macarons are one of my favourite sweets. I still remember eating one in Kyiv, closing my eyes, and feeling the whole world stop. Crispy outside, soft inside, like a small orchestra of flavours. Sometimes Maria makes them, and a random Sunday becomes perfect.

Dunseverick Pools is one of my favourite spots on the Causeway Coast. The Atlantic is wild just metres away, while the rocks create calm natural pools for swimming. Nearby, children and adults jump from the low cliffs. Not a beach, but much more fun.

COMPUTER GAMES. I thought games were for adult losers. Then I finished my first PlayStation game at 39. You cannot create all the time. Sometimes you need to switch off, reset, and enter another world. It is never too late to start.

BUSHMILLS. It’s a tiny village. Without the village, there would be no whiskey. Without the whiskey, there would be no village. The River Bush gave the village its name. The mills once ground local grain, which is where the second part of the name comes from. #Bushmills #Whiskey

At Creatives at the Courthouse, you can walk through the space almost like an art museum, discover work by different artists, and actually buy nearly everything you see. Art is multidisciplinary, so you can find fine art, woodwork, leather goods, and many other handmade pieces.

COURTHOUSE IN BUSHMILLS. The concept is to bring different small art studios, creative products, and items for sale together under one roof. What a brilliant idea.

This is the most astonishing stretch of coastline in Northern Ireland, from Portrush to Ballycastle. I’ve cycled this route twice already and run two half marathons here, so it feels like home.

Sometimes LLMs hallucinate so confidently that I start joking to myself that maybe there are no GPUs at all. Maybe there are just thousands of people somewhere in India manually answering our prompts.

Now imagine a game like GTA or Call of Duty where every NPC is powered by AI and reacts differently depending on millions of variables. A world where anything could happen because every interaction is generated in real time. That feels much closer than it did a year ago.

A year ago, translating text inside an image meant opening Figma or Photoshop, replacing the text manually, and exporting everything again. Today I can do it on the fly with AI. Just now, I got an imperfect translated image from Claude Design, but a perfect one from ChatGPT.

Last year I sent around 3,000 requests to ChatGPT. This year it will probably be more than 10,000. Now I’m also curious how many requests I’ve sent to Claude, Perplexity, and Google Stitch.

AI (LLMs) is genuinely speeding up the way we work. When a standard feature like voice mode suddenly stops working or behaves incorrectly, the work can come to a halt. It feels like trying to work without the internet. AI is slowly becoming essential.

Recently, I bought some fresh salmon and salted it myself for the first time. Literally, you just cover it with salt, leave it in the fridge for 24 hours, and it’s done. You can also add sugar, citrus, dill, raspberry, or beetroot for different flavours.

UX LAB. Why does Belfast need a physical UX lab? Join the discussion tomorrow ➝ luma.com/0ro7ojck Accessibility isn’t something AI scanners or automated audits can fully measure. They catch code issues, but not human understanding #UXResearch #Accessibility
