Finished listening to Maestro's symphony. Initial thoughts, - The first movement is so so. I feel Raja gave too much attention to technicalities and less to his natural flair. You can see that natural Raja flair in the second, third and fourth movements. I liked the last 3 movements... But I feel Raja's true genius of infusing western orchestration into Indian folks melodies was missing. The melodic element, perhaps in trying to appeal to a western audience, was very muted.
