Taking Andrej Karpathy's advice to learn a field by taking up projects and building them, and my interest in Vision Language Models, I have chosen Image Captioning as my next project. From today onwards I will read research papers, share my understandings and will build a Image Captioner. Looking forward to learn, build and share.

Read Alexnet paper and implemented alexnet architecture. Colab notebook link: colab.research.google.com/drive/1LnM-yuZ… Two keytakeaways from the paper: -> One should use ReLU activation function because it speed ups learning process -> One should use overlapping pooling because it helps the model to generalize better and improves classification accuracy

There is actually no competition. - Half the people are scared of AI. - The other half are distracted by reels. - The rest are stuck in toxic work environments or are comfortable with current job. The 6-month theory still work. if you have the right guidance ,solid preparation plan and staying consistent with your schedule.

I finally got the money for the Welcome book app I've built 🤑 First paying customer ever. The feeling is...utter bliss 🙂 Some would frame it on a wall. Others invest in AI tools. I will go out for a nice dinner tonight and celebrate, no wonder I'm poor 🤣
