@nedboulting @DaveHill Exactly- stood on many junctions in London today and saw at every other light change, a vehicle trying to beat the red light (and failing)- saw some people on bikes doing the same- it’s a myth that only people in vehicles obey traffic signals

Maybe cycling activists could take a lead in encouraging cyclists to abide by the highway code and generally behaving more considerately on the streets instead of routinely changing the subject to bad behaviour by drivers. Accepting responsibility might win them more friends.

I don’t normally get involved in calling out headlines but it’s just getting bonkers.
If this was directed at a gender, race or religion it would be rightly called out as the hate speech it is. Mums, dads, sons and daughters being labelled as killers. It’s just got to stop.

Just a statement of fact - I live on The Wirral and last week drove 173 miles almost, motorway free, across Wales (train strike day) to Cardiff to celebrate -10yrs since the Active Travel act came into being.
I drove approximately 1 miles in a 20mph zone.
