Dear @NIRA_Ug, at Nsangi sub-county, one has to pay 20k to collect their National ID. If you don't pay, they punish you by letting you stand for the whole day and later in the evening they tell you that your ID isn't with them.

Police in Katwe have today the 17.04.2026 conducted operations in areas of Ndeeba and muganzirwaza leading to the arrest of 29 male suspects in Muganzirwaza zone and Mutebi Zone Rubaga division in Kampala district respectively. The operation also led to the recovery of 24 motorcycles spare parts ,old motorcycle number plates amongst others. 06 Motorcycle Number plates recovered include UFY 763/A, UGG 874/E, UMA 304DR, UET 612/L, UMA 267GT . 10 shops have been cordoned off at muganzirwaza pending search . The operations continue in a bid to curb down on crime. We thank those members of public that brought this concern to our attention.
