The kabaka birthday run isn’t just an event,it’s the highest level of human mobilization on the continent. 140,000 people moving as one,that’s not a hobby. that’s an economy. the baganda spirit of togetherness is the literal blueprint for the middle income dream. we have the taste. we have the hospitality. we have the numbers. we’re sitting on the oil and asking for a light. turn the run into a week. turn the week into a legacy. trade the culture for the future of the people. If we want to reach middle-income status, we have to stop treating our cultural heritage as a "ceremony" and start treating it as a global economic engine.

I was initially hesitant to participate in this campaign because I wanted to first visit the patient and build a genuine connection with him and his family. From my experience running similar campaigns, I’m most effective when I have a personal, physical, and authentic attachment to the cause. Unfortunately, my current circumstances haven’t allowed me to make that visit yet, and Abdu’s life cannot wait. Abdu needs us. We’ve done this before, and I believe we can do it again. I will be reaching out to my brothers like @bruno_KUg and @Kasuku256 to take interest in this cause and help amplify the message. I will also personally engage everyone within my network who can make a difference, and I encourage you to do the same. Why is it that many guild presidents today struggle with public speaking? Listening to some of them raises serious concerns about how effectively they can represent students. Communication is a key part of leadership, but in some cases, the English used is unclear and lacks substance. What really happened to the era when strong, articulate, and competent students stepped up to lead? Leadership positions like the guild presidency should be earned on merit, not popularity or entertainment value. Being a good dancer or crowd favorite isn’t enough to represent a whole student body. Let’s not sugarcoat it institutions like Makerere University Business School (MUBS) deserve leaders who can confidently speak, engage, and advocate for students at all levels. The standard must be higher.

Next president must have a talent atleast one ✍🏾
