I need to convince housemate Wicci needs to be out of a box overnight. He's not a bad boy like Elijah and I know he would probably just sleep on the bed beside me. This morning I let him out extra early and went back to bed. He came and laid beside me in my arms for two hours. I was stunned but absolutely over the moon.. this is a big deal if you know this boi💙

🆘🆘 SARAH (ID 32620), 8 YO, FEMALE – IN QUEENS ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 6/22/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- moving. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 🆘🆘 VERY LATE ADDITION TO THE 7/12/26 EPL 🆘🆘 ➡️TBD 7/16/26 ➡️ SENIOR ALERT ➡️ 🆘🆘 2ND Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 21 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ SARAH IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - She is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. She has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 What my friends at ACC say about me: I have lived with cats in my previous home. I'm sensitive and shy. I'll need extra help from you. I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe. Sarah tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. As a new addition to the shelter, she is still trying to unwind and get comfortable in a new environment with a lot of stimuli. Our hope is with time and a patient adopter Snow White can fully decompress in an environment where she feels safe and respected. She'd do best in an adult-only home where she's given the choice to interact on her terms. Positive reinforcement through treats and toys will definitely help her along, too.
