@banreportcards@OttawaPolice This. A lot of people are using bikes as a means of transport. If they are allowed on the road they should go through a cycling test/rules of the road and get a license as well.
@OttawaPolice Query. Do you offer road and traffic lessons for kids new to cycling?
(Last summer, I saw three young teen boys cycling any which way in west ottawa, on Carling Ave. Lessons would be useful.)
🚴♂️ Every day, cyclists share the road with vehicles.
They're commuting, exercising, or just enjoying a summer ride. But they’re also someone’s parent, partner, friend, or child.
Please slow down. Pass with care. Check your mirrors and blind spots. Give space — and humanity.
A few extra seconds of patience can mean a lifetime for someone else. Let’s keep our roads safe for everyone.

@OttawaPolice Cyclists should do a cycling test if they want to be on the road with motorized vehicles. It shouldn’t just be up to drivers to be safe on the roads but cyclists should be responsible as well and have a license.
