Tomorrow, October 29, is the 53rd anniversary of the Birth of the Internet! Happy birthday, old friend. Let’s remember to acknowledge that event when the first Internet message was sent from UCLA to SRI on October 29, 1969. Does anyone remember what that first message was?

David Boggs, co-inventor of Ethernet, passed away a few days ago. He was one of those unsung heroes of the pioneering networking days who worked at legendary PARC. What a great legacy to have co-created a technology that has served for almost half a century.
