You know what wasn’t in the Liberals’ platform?
Cutting public servants, refusing to sign Pharmacare agreements, rolling back environmental measures, reducing union rights, building bitumen pipelines, abandoning the Digital Services Tax.….Folks didn’t vote for these either.

This latest revelation is further evidence that the MOU between Prime Minister Carney and Premier Smith is a gift to the fossil fuel industry.
Prime Minister Carney had already abandoned most of his government’s climate measures to appease big oil and gas. Now we learn that he’s offered them a $1.2 billion escape clause to avoid even the meagre measures remaining.
At this point, it would be more honest to just give Danielle Smith and her oil industry friends the pipeline they crave.

I'm underwhelmed by Prime Minister @MarkJCarney's response to Premier @ABDanielleSmith separation questions on the October referendum.
What the Prime Minister should do is pause all discussions about the measures in the Canada/Alberta MOU until Albertans and their Premier decide their place in Canada, if any.
It would be irresponsible to negotiate with any interests in the private sector until Alberta's future relationship within Canada is clarified.

Air Canada's flight attendants are among the best inflight safety pros in the business! And it's shameful that they are often unpaid when they're responding to medical emergencies, fires or even bomb threats on the ground. @AirCanada needs to do better by these amazing folks!

Last night I flew on an @AirCanada flight #AC779 from Montreal to LAX and I watched a medical emergency happen on the plane. I was so impressed with the level of attentiveness and quick action from the crew that I just want to highlight the level of professionalism and consideration they had for the passenger. The medical situation was resolved on the flight and everyone left ok 🙏 Good for you @AirCanada!

I have huge respect for people with the courage to join the Global Sumud Flotilla.
They put their bodies at risk because they do not believe their lives are more valuable than the lives of Palestinians.
It is shameful that government ministers express indignation for Canadians when they have utterly failed to show it for Palestinians, who have endured untold cruelty for the better part of a century.
But that’s the world we live in, and the bravery of the flotilla participants shows the glaring double standard, and helps build pressure to rein in the rogue state of Israel.
It’s an extreme tactic in response to extreme impunity.
And the goal is to stop the genocide and dismantle Israeli apartheid.

I have just received information from my officials which details the appalling abuse of Canadians who were detained in Israel. These Canadians have now arrived in Türkiye. Global Affairs consular officials on the ground are ensuring that they receive urgent medical care as required so that they can return home as soon as possible. Canada unequivocally condemns the grave mistreatment of Canadians in Israel. Those responsible for this egregious abuse must be held accountable. We will continue to provide additional information as it becomes available.
