Last week a @BritGeoSurvey team had an excellent visit to Luanda, #Angola, arranged by @ukinangola. We met with a variety of stakeholders, focusing on issues around sustainability, resources and geohazards along the Lobito Corridor.

Great news that there is such a significant resource estimate for #rareearths in the Fen Complex. Of course this is not a 'discovery' - our @NGUgeology colleagues have been studying it for years.

@kmgoodenough @EthanRockStory @theAGU @BostonCollege @MinSocAm @NSTA @nagtgeo Sure, not denying that. Is there any summary of how many large LCTs are available and what are estimated resources? Perhaps with/without Li-micas? I'm not really convinced we have enough of LCTs to have that much impact on Li production, that was the point.

Really enjoyed the week at #GACMACPEG2024 in Brandon, Manitoba. A couple of really good days in the field followed by 3 days discussing all aspects of #lithium in #pegmatites!
