@TheSpyFamily Well, I'm glad I hooked you! I'm sorry the book isn't available. He couldn't communicate because he was in a POW hospital. He got the girl, but it was complicated. ;)

@KMWeiland OYN? Aww, too bad. I wanted to know what happened to him! Did he at least recover and get the girl? And when you said he couldn't talk, did you mean a coma or his injuries or trauma?

@KMWeiland I was rereading either "Outlining" or "Structuring Your Novel" and you mentioned a character named Bruce in a historical novel who gets hurt. Which book is that? I want to know what happens, but none of titles on Goodreads sounded right.

I just finished @KMWeiland's book, "Writing your story's theme" and let me just say - 10/10. So many books go into plot/structure and character/arc but few, if any really, touch upon theme beyond the most vague of guidance.

@TheSpyFamily Okay, yep, that's the one I was thinking of (I changed the character's name for inclusion on OYN, so that's why I didn't recognize it). It's from a book I never published.

@KMWeiland Okay I found it. It's pages 153-155 in "Outlining Your Novel." It sounds so good I really wanted to read it and see what happened! I attached photos of the pages if that helps.

@TheSpyFamily Was it referencing something I wrote or something someone else wrote? If it was mine, it might have been in reference to a historical novel set in Kenya that I never published.

@KMWeiland No. I know there was an excerpt of a dinner scene and he was supposed to be attacked right after that. He seemed like the hero, unless you renamed him. And you said it was a historical novel if that helps.
