This is actually how I explain the 2021 NFT pfp run to people outside the space. During covid we were all locked behind our screens and everyone who wanted to flex scarcity needed a new way to do so. You couldn't show up to the club with a new AP flexing bottle service. But you could buy a Bored Ape. NFTs (especially pfps) will only become more valuable the more we are all using social media. They are tied together. (Though it would be ideal if Elon brought back the hex.) Bullish on NFTs. Bearish on our mental health.
