@AshNicoleMoss @Dattfranco WWE type stuff. It’s what “sports journalism” is turning into. They’re in an “online feud”, feud brings eyeballs, ppl RT & add their 2 cents, bringing more eyeballs to them & the original players. It’s basically an impressions pyramid scheme.

Difference is visibility/career objective. Negative takes get more traction than actual insight. Social media turned middle school mentality mainstream. SAS doing what’s best for his career. He’s Josh Hart’s peer in the real world, similar net worths, both make a living in sports. A fan tweeting at a stranger telling a 31 yr old millionaire what to do seems more like a case of main character syndrome

What’s the difference with Stephen A telling Josh to Shut up and people on a Knicks Twitter telling him to shut up and get in the gym?? It hits harder when mainstream media does it?? I blame Mikal

@knicksnutz @SNYKPodHarlem I would have no problem with it if he didn’t hog the ball too much. And I understand he’s 30 that’s why time is running out on him and this group of people. He is who he is but he could give up the rock more. He has a solid squad if he would trust them more.

Your wife might not look like a 20 yr old supermodel but you still married her right? Doesn’t have to be perfect to be enough Look at Brunson’s career NYK numbers, he’s the model of consistency 26.2 pts 6.7 ast 3.3 reb 48% FG / 39% 3PT / 83% FT He’s almost 30. Either accept this is who he is & enjoy the ride or keep yelling into the void that if he had +2 ast he’d be “perfect” & I get the what you’re saying, he’s not a pure table setter. Even Kolek runs an offense more traditionally. But Brunson is a score first PG. For better not worse, he’s the Knicks PG

@knicksnutz @SNYKPodHarlem If this is the “level” he can put forward, it’s not enough. A lot of people are all star players, he needs to be all NBA first team with better passing.

If you ask a guy who hits singles to suddenly be a HR hitter, you can’t be mad when he keeps hitting singles. You can’t force a square peg into a round hole. At this point ppl are getting mad just to get mad. Brunson is elite at what he does, for better, not worse, this is who he is. Yeah in a perfect world he’s Melo + Jason Kidd, then we’re talking top 3 PG ever. But that’s not reality. This is who he is, & what he is is a starting All-Star in this league.

@knicksnutz @SNYKPodHarlem And that’s suppose to be a good thing? There’s a reason Melo was not loved until recently bc of nostalgia and respect for even coming. He needs to learn how to play make or be surrounded by people who do know or it’s gunna be a long summer for everyone.

Only way to get rid of these takes is to stop interacting w/ them. He says outlandish things to get exactly this… a response. Sports banter is just WWE at this point. We all watch the games. We can see any highlight we want on the internet. His job isn’t to inform, it’s to create a reaction.

Adulthood is realizing that Republicans and Democrats are on the same team and we are all the pawns in their game Government shutdowns, ICE, wars, gas prices, etc are all tools to keep us in line Gotcha tweets and election promises mean nothing on both sides, once everyone gets into office they do what they want or what they are told Protect your family, protect your peace, protect your money and shut ALL of the cable news off and you will be a happier person bc our opinion means less than a Mikal Bridges debate

Hall of fame players Never won Got criticized Those are the modern day Barkley’s, Ewing’s, Drexler’s, etc… if the shoe is on the other foot, watch how comfortable the slander becomes A team that directed their assets to championship contention and specifically stated in the firing of their coach, what their goal is, A team that refused to hang a banner for a mid season tournament because they are focused on a real title, Yea if you’re not showing those types of qualities at ANY POINT other than lifting the trophy? You’re gonna get slandered bro I don’t understand what credit you want people to give them.

Knicks fans want all the accolades without the criticism that goes along with the journey to greatness NBA Twitter and before that nba discourse never dodged one person on their way to greatness Not Michael Not Kobe Not LeBron Nobody’s gonna get spared if they dare to stick their neck out there and say “I’m the best” A personal exercise: go search your “James Harden” or “Chris Paul” tweets over the years.

When someone says they’re a “big movie person,” I always wonder what that means. I can name 3 movies I watched this week (first time) that I liked more than both of these, but that’s just my opinion. Giving awards for movies is kinda stupid anyway. There’s no objective truth in how a film makes someone feel. These are the 3 I saw this week (1 even won an Oscar) that I’d rate higher than both mentioned above, but that doesn’t make it right for anyone else.

To say vampires is the only thing they have in common is disingenuous. Traveling brothers. Both stories hinge on the bond between two brothers with contrasting personalities. In both films, the first act grounds the story in realism before the supernatural erupts. An isolated bar becomes a contained siege location. The party turns to chaos. The tonal shift from crime and drama to full horror is almost beat for beat structurally. The night of survival in one building template, with vampires killing people inside the bar, is shared. In both films, the brother dynamic is fractured by death, with one brother surviving the vampire onslaught. Yes, there are differences. Sinners ties vampirism into American Southern history. It is a more serious film than DTD. But the overall outline is fairly similar.

Captain Fantastic should’ve won. It came out the same year Moonlight & La La Land were going head-to-head at the Oscars, & yet Captain Fantastic didn’t even get a nomination. Awards for movies & TV have never made much sense anyway. What’s even the prerequisite for winning? & how is Paul Mescal not nominated for Hamnet? That was clearly one of the most difficult roles to play.

Imagine how ridiculous it would be if Dusk Till Dawn won 11 Oscars including Best Picture in 1996. It would be a national scandal. Like Congress would be holding hearings about Hollywood corruption.

‘Sinners’ could become one of the most-awarded films in #Oscars history this Sunday. After receiving a record-breaking 16 nominations, the film has the possibility of breaking the record of winning more than 11 trophies in one night.

@professormooks @Kiingdeej To start the game? Nah. Mitch is on a mins restriction. KAT/Mitch both been foul prone. No one wants to see Huk out there at any point. You’ve gotta stagger KAT & Mitch’s mins just to replace the rebounding the team loses if JH doesn’t play.

@CPTheFanchise When the Knicks had ihart/Mitch & JR in the starting lineup, Josh came off the bench as the 6th man. There was plenty of rebounding from the 4 & 5 before both of them left.

Rebounding. Josh rebounds like a PF, averaging 7–8 a game. OG averages about 5. Bridges around 4. JB about 3. Mitch is on a mins restriction (doesn’t play b2b’s) & needs to spell KAT. The NYK don’t have a serviceable 3rd string center, both have been foul prone throughout their careers. Shamet averages less than 2 rebounds for his career.
