Women are so desperate for attention because of social media they're doing things like this at 34 instead of having babies and families like they're supposed to. We need a hard reboot on our culture.

@nuhre_ Except they weren't, and if you encountered a bug, you had to hope they would fix it in an expansion or you'd just have a buggy game forever. Could they do a better job finding bugs before launch? Sure. Is it literally impossible to find all of them? Also, yes.

“You have to give the devs a few months to iron out the bugs.” Nuh huh. I’m about to sound like a fucking boomer, but take me back to the days when you went to the store, bought a physical copy of a game, and guess what? The game was fully cooked. Period. What the fuck do you mean I’m waiting an average of seven years for a game just for it to come out raw, and somehow it’s MY fault for not knowing it needed another few months in the oven AFTER I already paid $70 for it to reach a playable state?

@supernate_760 @zerkarsonder Full plate set would call for a pourpoint underneath. An older (like KCD early 15th century) kit would still have gambesons, especially under a brig like mine but not necessarily. Keep in mind that pourpoints are an option in KCD.

A lot realistic fantasy designs could be improved greatly by just removing the split gambeson skirt that always sticks out from under the armor It's better to put a maille skirt or brayette there in my opinion

@zerkarsonder @lorddiethorn Not everyone could afford the latest and greatest. If you needed armor, you wore what you had. Unless you were rich enough to afford a new set every time new development came around.

@knightshiftgame @lorddiethorn They still cared a lot. Armor in Europe changed drastically every few decades or even within one or two, because it followed fashion trends. Developments happened, sure, but a lot of the armor designs mimicked clothing or adopted foreign designs just for looks

@knightshiftgame @zerkarsonder gambeson doesnt get put under armor, that will kill you they put thinner padded garments usually under mail its an aketon or pourpoint and under plate its a pourpoint or unpadded arming doublet Gambeson goes over mail or worn on its own

That 1951 car lacked three-point seat belts, airbags, crumple zones, head restraints, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, side-impact protection, and a collapsible steering column. Cars were death traps! Life expectancy in 1951 was 68 years. It's 79 years now. Those houses had lead-based paint, asbestos-containing materials, crappy insulation, limited electrical capacity, primitive plumbing, poor air sealing, and single-pane windows. They also lacked dishwashers, air conditioners, clothes dryers, freezers, and microwaves. Houses in the 1950s were far smaller and less comfortable than today's homes. Nostalgia for the 1950s is historically ignorant!

@zerkarsonder Because you grounded your opinion on "improving realistic fantasy design." You somehow believe that making a design less realistic would improve its realism. Thus, you're wrong.

@zerkarsonder Armor's primary function is to be protective. Looks are secondary and for the wealthy. "Doesn't look good" is also subjective.

@osgamer74 Modularity. You can just slap two 120v circuits together on a single breaker to make a 240v. Safety. 120v tickles a little, 240v is actually dangerous (though not necessarily lethal in a regular household circuit. They *do* typically carry more amps)
