Pages of the Glorius Qur'ān today, Monday 25/5/26, Sūrah al-Mā'idah (5): 104-113, tafakkur verse 5: 110 Theme: The miracles of Jesus were manifestations of Allah’s power and proofs of his Prophethood, not evidence of divinity {إِذۡ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ یَـٰعِیسَى ٱبۡنَ مَرۡیَمَ ٱذۡكُرۡ نِعۡمَتِی عَلَیۡكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَ ٰ⁠لِدَتِكَ إِذۡ أَیَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلۡقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِی ٱلۡمَهۡدِ وَكَهۡلࣰاۖ وَإِذۡ عَلَّمۡتُكَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ وَٱلۡإِنجِیلَۖ وَإِذۡ تَخۡلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّینِ كَهَیۡـَٔةِ ٱلطَّیۡرِ بِإِذۡنِی فَتَنفُخُ فِیهَا فَتَكُونُ طَیۡرَۢا بِإِذۡنِیۖ وَتُبۡرِئُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَهَ وَٱلۡأَبۡرَصَ بِإِذۡنِیۖ وَإِذۡ تُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ بِإِذۡنِیۖ وَإِذۡ كَفَفۡتُ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰ⁠ۤءِیلَ عَنكَ إِذۡ جِئۡتَهُم بِٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۡهُمۡ إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّا سِحۡرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ} "[The Day] when Allāh will say, O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit [i.e., the angel Gabriel] and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind [from birth] and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, This is not but obvious magic". LESSONS: 1. All Power Belongs to Allah Alone: The verse repeatedly states that every miracle performed by Jesus happened “by My permission.” This repetition is intentional and profound. It establishes that Jesus did not possess independent divine power. Everything occurred through the will and power of Allah alone. 2. Miracles Are Signs of Prophethood, Not Divinity: Speaking in the cradle, healing the blind, curing leprosy and bringing the dead back to life were extraordinary miracles granted to Jesus as proofs of his Prophethood. Miracles do not make a person God. Rather, they demonstrate that Allah supports His chosen messengers. 3. Islam Deeply Honours Jesus and Mary: This verse highlights the immense favour Allah bestowed upon Jesus and his mother Mary. The Qur’an presents them with dignity, purity and honour. Muslims are therefore required to love, respect and believe in Jesus as one of the greatest prophets of God. 4. Clear Truth Does Not Always Convince Everyone: Despite witnessing undeniable signs and miracles, many people still rejected Jesus and accused him of practising magic. This teaches us that rejection of truth is often rooted not in lack of evidence, but in arrogance, stubbornness and attachment to falsehood. 5. Allah Protects His Righteous Servants: Allah reminded Jesus that He restrained his enemies from killing him. This is a powerful reminder that no force can overcome the decree of Allah. Human beings may plot and scheme, but ultimate protection and control belong to Allah alone. O Allah, increase us in beneficial knowledge, strengthen our faith in Your Oneness, guide us to truth and protect our hearts from confusion, arrogance and misguidance. Āmīn.

MISSING PERSON! Her name is Okunola favour Abigael. An 100lvl student. Accounting department. She left Mayfair yesterday {23/05/2026} by 4pm for Oshogbo but she is currently nowhere to be found. In her last communication with one of our coursemate, she said she was on Campus. Last night, I tried checking locations she normally visit to confirm if she was truly on Campus, but i couldn't find her in these locations. I have also reached out to all her friends in the department, but they also don't know where she is. She is not at home and she is not also in her place of residence here at Mayfair.
