He wasn’t athletic at all, of course he wasn’t going to be a great defender.

And yes, he was a 1st option in Minny, but he never carried like Dirk did. KG is a great player, but Dirk is better than him.

Guys like Jokic, KD, KAT, Wemby, Giannis. They get compared to Dirk for the offensive similarities. Dirk was better as a stretch 4.

Secondly, Dirk was a better stretch 4 than KG, shot more 3 and mid ranges with a high usage rate and was efficient! As a 7 footer. He was moving like a guard. And he didn’t have to rely on athleticism for everything.
