@richarddeitsch @Chiefs @BuffaloBills I do wonder if CBS would’ve been willing to exchange Bears-Lions to NBC to air Chiefs-Bills on primetime. It would interesting if NBC would take that trade since the 1 PM slot did see an increase in ratings last year.

Really interesting discussion today on the NFL's annual post-schedule release call with the media. CBS really wanted the @Chiefs-@BuffaloBills game that is now airing on NBC in the primetime window. They have had that game for many years. They lobbied hard for it. But as the NFL keeps saying -- every game is a free-agent now. And that game is now a test for how many viewers will watch in that Thanksgiving late window.

@JFreshHockey @yolo_pinyato That’s fair, but I could also argue for example the Matthew Tkachuk trade for Florida was a big move that opened their contention window. But those moves take the perfect storm opportunity. I think it’s just harder to acquire truly elite talent through trades/free agency

@kofapps @yolo_pinyato all-in implies going for it one year. the teams who have won lately have hung around for a long time - Colorado, Vegas, Tampa, Florida. Washington barely managed to squeak one out with a relatively weak team after a few more "all-in" seasons

@Faazzla Gotta blame the teams too, they clearly like the idea or wearing different jerseys at home. I get from a financial standpoint, they want to sell merch every home game.

What happened to home teams wearing white jerseys? The home team has worn white in only 22 of 66 NBA playoff games so far this year. Ten years ago, home teams wore white in 83 of 86 games, including every round two, Conference Finals & Finals game. From 97% to 33% in a decade.
