Meta to Keep Existing ‘Horizon Worlds’ VR Experiences on Life Support for Time Being See more 👉roadtovr.com/meta-keeps-hor…

If you're building for VR, build something so good that people buy a headset purely to use your thing.

I think Meta should launch a new service called Horizon Social VR, where users can share photos, videos, and 3D models within virtual spaces and spend time with friends. It wouldn’t need gaming features—just a platform focused purely on social interaction.

Another nail in the Metaverse coffin: Meta Horizon Worlds is shutting down in three months for VR, but the mobile app will remain pcgamer.com/games/vr/anoth…

Claude can now build interactive charts and diagrams, directly in the chat. Available today in beta on all plans, including free. Try it out: claude.ai

Nothing humbles you like telling your OpenClaw “confirm before acting” and watching it speedrun deleting your inbox. I couldn’t stop it from my phone. I had to RUN to my Mac mini like I was defusing a bomb.

Sonnet 1M context window disappeared after Claude Code update to v2.1.45 — regression on Max plan ($200/mo) @AnthropicAI

sonnet 4.6 is now in claude code with thinking effort option. 1m context is extra tho. kinda disappointed 😕

🇯🇵🇺🇦 Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi spoke clearly about the war between Ukraine and Russia. Japan’s support for Ukraine, she said, is firm and will not waver. She expressed deep respect for the courage and unity of the Ukrainian people, especially under the leadership of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Takaichi also acknowledged the devastating impact of Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, noting that Japan’s assistance has helped during extremely difficult conditions. Her message was direct. Japan will continue to stand with Ukraine and work toward a just and lasting peace. In a world full of hesitation and mixed signals, that kind of clarity matters.

Reminder that Japan is a one-party state. The right-wing, pro-imperialist, pro-US, anti-China party LDP has governed Japan since 1955 (with just two very short interruptions). But Japan isn't called authoritarian because it's a loyal Western ally, militarily occupied by the US.

The LDP got about 21m votes which means roughly one-in-five Japanese adults voted for them. It hardly needs restating that many Japanese oppose the party and dislike Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's policies.

Japan is mostly ignored, so when it does become important (big election win by exciting leader, natural disaster etc.) you can assume that most of the stuff you read is misinformed and therefore wrong. Some of the stuff written during these episodes -- 3/11, early days of Covid -- beggars belief and makes me think that some people are getting their talking points from Reddit.

I guarantee you if Takaichi was a liberal, the @nytimes would not have chosen the word impose here.

✍️ "By banging the drum for rapid fiscal expansion, should she prevail in this election, Sanae Takaichi risks causing a global financial meltdown," writes @LiamHalligan. Find out why here ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/…
