Tarik Muharemović is a proper CB. An Italian defender’s brain with a Bosnian heart. Dominant in the box, physically imposing, and outstanding aerially. His mentality is what produces clutch moments like this. Wins us one point here. A perfect fit for what a NT needs. Now it’s a case of continued development, as there are still occasional downsides. The over-aggression stands out - that moment in the first half (vs Oluwaseyi) was weak defending for a CB his level. On the ball he has qualities as well, especially his mid-to-long range passing. The Como links are interesting under Cesc, could be refining that side of his game to a more polished level. Juventus and Como most interesting options IMO. A fantastic profile and player for our national team.

Adin Ličina off to the EURO U19 alongside Mirza Ćatović, representing Germany. Stood out in the qualifiers by having moments like this, led to a goal. A creative problem-solver, quick feet & tight-space specialist. There are rumors that Juventus will take him with the first team to pre-season, but ideally, like Košpo, he will be sent out on loan. Still one of my favorite dual nationals.

I think many Bosnian fans still can’t grasp the fact that Demirovic has scored only one goal in an important match. In fact, his first goal in any qualifying campaign came against Cyprus in this Wc qualification cycle. Apart from that, he has no goals in qualifiers at all.

Icl I can’t wait for him to be replaced by some of the younger names coming up. 🇧🇦 fans are extremely lenient towards him because he plays for a nice club and chose to represent us, but for me he embodies the loser mentality that defined much of the NT from 2019 to 2024

His other three goals came in random NL games. He never was, and never will be, the type of player who makes the difference on the pitch, steps up in big games, scores important goals, or turns games around.

Turns out the rumors were true, as João Carlos has officially departed FK Sarajevo after receiving a lucrative offer in China. What a shame. I think he would have been brilliant under Zekić’s two striker system, next to a more mobile CF to play off him. We will miss him. Fun, confident player.
