I have observed that my honest interview yesterday was misquoted by many media outlets, creating a false narrative that misrepresents my position. Let me set the record straight: I am not against coalition. In truth, I am for it not for power grab but to position Nigeria for greatness. I have not, and will never, advocate for any coalition or alliance that does not prioritize the welfare and progress of the ordinary Nigerian. Any discussion about governance must centre on what it means for the everyday Nigerian, how it will address critical issues such as access to quality healthcare, and education, and pulling people out of poverty. Too often in our nation’s history, individuals and groups have come together solely for the purpose of taking power for power's sake. Such endeavours, devoid of genuine purpose and vision, have only deepened our challenges, leaving the ordinary Nigerian to bear the brunt of bad governance. This is what I stand firmly against. Leadership must be about service, not self-interest. It must be about building a nation where opportunities abound for all, where justice and equity are non-negotiable, and where governance works for the people, not against them. As I have always maintained, the New Nigeria is possible. But it requires us to change the way we think about power. It is not about grabbing it; it is about using it responsibly to transform lives and secure a brighter future for generations to come. -PO

I thank Nigerians across all parts of our country for their growing support and confidence in us and in the NDC. That trust has been the most important currency driving the party from its early days up until now, especially with the recent addition of my two distinguished colleagues. What we are witnessing is a powerful convergence: my role as a party organiser and builder, alongside two political heavyweights with immense grassroots support, popularity and political experience, as well as several other leaders in their own right across the country, all coming together under one platform. As I have consistently stated, our goal in the NDC is to build an ideological political party, one that can be compared to the ANC in its finest years in South Africa, as well as established political parties across Europe, America, India and even the Communist Party of China—in terms of stability, structure, and the ability to endure beyond its founders for generations to come. The NDC is a party with a special place for young people and women, one that prioritises mentorship and prepares citizens for service. It is designed to serve the people, not just the big, strong, and powerful, but also the ordinary and the vulnerable. For the record, the annexures show that we initiated the registration process for the NDC as far back as 2017 and that INEC granted approval at that time before the process was halted. When party registration resumed last year, we revisited and updated our earlier application. The other document shows a Google search we conducted on February 3, 2017, while searching for the appropriate “V-sign” as the party’s logo. With my experience in politics, I am fully aware that an ambitious project of this nature will attract distractions—rumours, gossip, propaganda, and even blackmail. These are all parts of the terrain that we are used to. I therefore urge Nigerians to discountenance and ignore such propaganda about the ndc or any of its leaders and remain focused on the bigger picture. I call on all Nigerians to join the NDC, register, participate, and contest elections. Together, let us reclaim and rebuild our country. ~HSD

Dear Mr. @PeterObi , This is an open letter from a concerned Lagos Obidient. I joined the Labour Party in 2022 because I believe in your vision for a new and better Nigeria. The 2023 elections cost us a lot, especially in Lagos even though we won, because we lacked strong structures across wards and LGAs. This affected the total number of votes we could secure. When the idea of a coalition came up, many of us were patient and waited for your direction, even though some had already started moving before your declaration on December 31, 2025 to create soft landing for you before you move fully. On that day, you asked all Obidients to move and register with the ADC, and we followed your instruction. One of the biggest challenges we faced was aligning with opposition parties in the coalition. We were aware of their histories though we are not perfect ourselves but we still chose to come together to build something stronger. The gubernatorial candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV), played a major role in this process. He helped bring together some of the best minds in our bloc and kept many of us united. Now, your recent declaration of joining a new party, the NDC, is a very serious issue for us even though some has collapsed the structure to the new party. Many people have made sacrifices and even created enemies while building this coalition. Are we now expected to abandon everything and just go? What about those of us who have invested time, energy, and resources in building the ADC? What about our members who are already aspiring under the party? As we all know, winning Lagos requires strong structure and unity. That is why we worked hard to build the coalition into a formidable force. At this point, what do you expect the Lagos Obidient bloc within the ADC especially those already holding leadership positions to do? I sincerely hope this message gets to you and that you consider the impact of this decision on those of us on the ground. Thank you. A Concerned Lagos Obedient. @RealQueenBee__ , @TheSerahIbrahim @firstladyship @IdrisZekeriJnr @EstherUmoh10

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

CLARIFICATION ON THE ARREST OF JUSTICE MARK CHIDIEBERE (JUSTICE CRACK) The attention of the Nigerian Army was drawn to the complaint made by some soldiers regarding their feeding and other matters relating to their welfare as posted on social media by a blogger/social media influencer, Justice Mark Chidiebere (Justice Crack). While the matter is being investigated for breach of the Armed Forces’ Social Media Policy and an attempt to misinform the public, preliminary report reveals that the soldiers discussed wide range of issues with Justice Chidiebere who seemed to be inciting soldiers to create discontent within the system. An example was a chat bothering on subversion which Chidiebere had with the soldiers. It is important to state that a situation where civilians cultivate vulnerable personnel towards acts of subversion has far-reaching implications on discipline and national security. Hence, Justice Chidiebere was picked by the Nigerian Army alongside the soldiers for investigation. While the soldiers remain in own custody, Chidiebere has been handed over to the relevant civil authorities for further investigation and possible prosecution. The Nigerian Army remains committed to the rule of law and will continue to collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure justice is served. We will continue to act within the ambits of the law in safeguarding our sovereignty. APPOLONIA ANELE Colonel Acting Director Army Public Relations 2 May 2026

With profound sadness, I received the shocking news of the passing of my dear elder brother Mike Okaka in USA. On behalf of my family and the Obidient family, I extend my deepest condolences and sincerely mourn his loss. Mike was a devoted supporter of the Obidient movement and a passionate believer in the vision of a new Nigeria. His dedication, energy, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of good governance were truly remarkable. He stood firm in the collective struggle for a better nation and made meaningful contributions toward the cause we all cherish. May God Almighty, who has called him home, grant him eternal rest, and may He comfort his family, loved ones, and all of us with the strength and fortitude to bear this painful and irreplaceable loss. -PO

Obama was much younger in experience and all compared to Joe Biden. Biden had been in politics for over 50 years and was a 30 years over as a senator. But still, Biden didn’t see it as a problem to deputize the less experienced Barack Obama, because Obama had a bigger chance of winning. And later, Biden himself became President. So what stops Atiku Abubakar from doing the same.. deputizing Peter Obi, who has even said he is ready to go for just one term?

Assalamu alaikum, Baba. Good morning and Happy Workers' Day! Even do i see you don't want to rest,Let me remind you once again: the North is not tribalistic the way you want to paint it, just to serve your boss's selfish interest. The North understands that Nigeria belongs to different people with different identities it does not belong to us alone. We cannot continue to be stuck with one man who has done nothing meaningful for our lives simply because he is a Northerner. No! We are wise and educated enough to know the right thing to do. As for Kwankwaso, it is not just about him. We, the youths and other enlightened Northerners who understand the depth of the bad governance we are facing, will go out, campaign, educate our people, and ensure we make the right choice for the future of our region. NIGERIA WILL BE OK whether you like it or not.Lastly, I advise you to get some rest. You are above 50.
Hamma@HAHayatu

Let's see how Kwankwaso will make the north vote Obi even in Kano it shall not happen talkless of the north., if it is possible he could have done it for himself 2023. 2027 is the turn of the north, anyone that will bring a southerner for us will be seen as Munafiki.

ADC has not done primaries yet. All this talk may just be a plan to confuse and divide the ADC. Let’s stay calm and wait for our leader, Peter Obi. No moving ahead of him. We stay focused. 🇳🇬

Workers Are the Backbone of Every Nation On this Workers’ Day, I warmly salute workers across the world, especially Nigerian workers whose daily sacrifices continue to sustain our families, communities, institutions, and national economy, even in the face of severe hardship and uncertainty. It is deeply painful that those who wake up every day to teach, heal, build, farm, produce, transport, protect, and serve our nation are still denied the dignity and fair reward their labour deserves. In today’s Nigeria, the minimum wage can no longer guarantee even the most modest standard of living, as inflation, rising food prices, transportation costs, and economic hardship continue to erode the value of honest work. No nation can truly develop beyond the strength, productivity, and wellbeing of its workforce. The progress of any society rests on the quality of its human capital, the skill of its people, and the commitment of its workers. When workers suffer, the nation suffers. When workers are empowered, the nation prospers. But beyond their labour, workers also possess another powerful tool, their voice and their vote. Through democratic participation, they have the power to shape governance and determine the future direction of the nation. I therefore urge Nigerian workers to recognise the strength they hold collectively. They owe it to themselves, their children, and future generations to support and demand leadership built on competence, character, capacity, credibility, and compassion. By refusing to reward failure, corruption, ethnic division, and bad governance, they can help build a nation where hard work is respected and rewarded with dignity. A productive nation must be built on justice, fairness, and respect for labour. That is the Nigeria we must work together to achieve. With the support and participation of Nigerian workers, a New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
