Before the headlines could report an attack, India’s agencies had already stopped it.
In the last four days, Indian agencies have detained 11 suspects linked to planned terror activities. Notably, some include foreign nationals from Ukraine and the United States.
In one case, the Haryana STF arrested three individuals with around 2 kg of suspected explosive material, linked to a planned attack in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan.
In another, a 19 year old BDS student from Saharanpur was arrested for alleged links with ISIS, where he was reportedly spreading extremist propaganda online.
Separately, a group of foreign nationals moved from Mizoram to Myanmar and are now under investigation for suspected links with extremist networks.
These cases highlight evolving security threats and the crucial role of agencies in stopping them before they unfold.
