If you don’t know how to handle rejection with grace, then living outside your comfort zone is not for you. Especially in a place like the UK.
Where do we even start from?
You can apply for like 100 jobs, go through stressful application processes, tweak your CV like your life depends on it, and still get polite rejection emails before they even look at you properly.
Then the ones that do call you for interview… you’ll walk out feeling like you just secured the job of the year… only to see “we regret to inform you” waiting for you like a loyal enemy.
And the real joke? You’ll take one “just to survive” job like this, settle down small… then your dream jobs will now start emailing you like “Hi, we’ve reviewed your application and would like to proceed” 😭
So now your inbox is basically doing relationship confusion with your destiny.
At some point, the application stress will humble you so much that you’ll accidentally apply for jobs in places like Afghanistan or Sudan 😭
Omo mhen.
This country will test your mental strength like it’s part of the job description.
But somehow, you keep going. And that’s the point. Because in all the noise of rejections and delays, one yes can still rewrite everything. So don’t stop showing up. Keep refining, keep applying, keep believing. Your effort is not disappearing it is compounding.
