The cotton plant grows roots, branches and leaves before producing flowers. Once the flowers bloom and turn yellow then pink, pollination is complete and a cotton boll forms. The cotton develops inside the boll over 55-80 days, finally opening to reveal soft white cotton.

Inter-cropping means growing crops alongside cotton Between cotton rows, you'll find lentils, okra and pulses. Farmers grow their own food and are self-sustaining. No chemical pesticides or fertilisers are ever used. Soil becomes richer for growing and more resilient to changes.
