fwiw, i am acutely aware that the way that s1 is structured is ABSOLUTELY not sustainable. its why it has an end date (communicated in advance). The goal of S1 was not to be sustainable, but to just fkn launch, and get our nfts/tokens out to ppl, and build the foundation of what OCH will be. anyone talking about APR or yield is likely joking or a moron. we published the s1 game docs and how it would work BEFORE the mint so that participants knew what they were getting themselves into. BUT It's a really, really great way to kickstart the game. We're excelling on most metrics: - mindshare? - fp? - volume? - fun? undeniably OCH was the most successful nft/game launch in recent times by almost any given metric. we launched when sentiment on crypto was low after just coming out of solana crime szn + launching on abstract during sentiment ATL (day after cardex fud) but still managed to mint out easily. if S1 was the entire game (see: raid party, crypto valleys etc.) then i would not be proud to share this, BUT if we're using this as a way to bootstrap the community, game, and generate revenue/runway to continue building the vision for what we have planned, imo is a W. my view is that s1 was a necessary evil (although ppl are enjoying the gameplay so far) that will turn out to be a +EV decision. my goal is to show the "we all know how this ends" crowd, that this genre of game is underexplored and perhaps that there exists a way to create a fun, onchain idle RPG. idle RPGs arent a new genre and have largely been solved already. i think crypto is a great fit for this type of game and building on crypto unlocks new ways of gameplay. anyways, thanks for reading and believing in me until now. back to fixing bugs.
