@JDaneH94 Was it not slot that subbed grav and Gomez after we just equalised and looking ok for 2 attackers and then any ball over right back area was a 1vs1. Sorry buck sits with manager same problems since start of season and he has fixed none of them

A late ‘review’ of the game. More random thoughts to be honest. I’ve watched Liverpool for pushing 50 years. It’s always been a pleasure, and I’ve looked forward to almost all of the games. If not exactly looked forward to, then maybe excited or even nervous. Tonight it was a chore. Watching them whilst leaving the Mrs next door on her own was annoying. I felt nothing; before, during or after. I let out a bit of a semi-joyous whimper when we scored our first, rather than delirious shouting. It was like I was trying to care, but didn’t quite manage it. A bit like our players. Going through the motions. There was a distant memory deep within the players that football was supposed to be fun, and an outlet for their artistic brilliance. No one, other than Rio Ngumoha convinced that they actually cared. I think Arne Slot is done. As I’ve said so often, it shouldn’t be with abuse or hatred. He gave us number 20, and one of my favourite days alongside my lads this time last year . It’s not just about him though. So many of our squad need to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror. They’ve let us, and themselves down massively. So weak, both physically and mentally, that it’s embarrassing. Maybe they should be giving some of their ridiculous wages away to charity. Maybe they’re just too comfortable; surrounding themselves with those unwilling or unable to challenge them. At least I’ve been numbed down after this season; and the pain I should be feeling is suitably anaesthesised by a strange disconnect. I just can’t be arsed. Hopefully I might feel better soon. It might (and probably is..) a strange comparison, but the nearest I felt to this was when I came back from Heysel, not wanting to think about football for some considerable time. You can’t compare the events; to do so would be bizarre . @JeremyUsbourne1 So huge question not just on the standards of play for months not being on the manager but just today. We equalise and probs better team on pitch at that time WHO subs off 2 defensive players and brings in 2 attackers leaving a gapbat right back for 20 mins any ball over was 1vs1

I just can’t believe I’m seeing people pin tonight on Slot. An inferior 11 away to a team with fortune in their side and we still bossed the game for periods. It’s been a microcosm of the season too. You can take so many of these results this season and absolve Slot of blame.

@xdrvgg37 @RealTalkMCFC @AnfieldRd96 I disagree. I add an extra centre back and only have 2 central midfielders which at present in this team are lazy. We need more dynamic ball winning players in there. Kerkez and frimps may do better in a 5 but nobody else

Kerkez and frimpong are wingbacks not fullbacks, frimpong especially this covers their weakness .3 cbs covers konates mistakes and VVDs decline with age . Also helps out Liverpools biggest problem which is midfield which currently gets bypassed easily

Arne Slot had credit in the bank at the start of this torrid run (well over half a year ago btw) and rightly so after last season. But that has gone bust now. He has shown absolutely nothing in that period to show he is the man to lead this team forward.

@henrywinter He pgmol have needed to act on this all season but they have allowed arsenal to commit gbh from most set pieces yet decide to add rules when it's against the same team. Pure corruption for me there is no excuses for it.
