@honour_can_code What are you saying? Laravel cloud literally runs on Laravel (PHP) seamlessly at a scale that is wild. Kindly limit this to WordPress conversation and leave PHP out of it.

@honour_can_code I think the issue here is trying to taking PHP out of Laravel. Laravel only abstracted the whole process, while in vanilla PHP, you will have to write all those classes from scratch which is applicable in every language. Frameworks exist because of DX.

@honour_can_code Yeye crack dev You don’t even understand what “native” means. Native software is compiled ahead of time into platform-specific machine code and runs directly on the CPU. Node.js and PHP run inside a runtime, not as native binaries.

@xenonwellz @honour_can_code I'm not even discussing WP here. I was just questioning his assertion that PHP cannot handle those stuff he mentioned natively. Laravel cloud runs on Laravel which powered by native PHP.

😂 funny man. PHP will natively—pull your source code, pull the image, build, deploy and everything needed without breaking a sweat. It’s more like engineering problem and sha no go dey try am with Wordpress cus you will spend your whole shipping time tweaking source code. Now, I’m not saying Go and Rust, will not do it better, I’m saying PHP can still do it effectively with negligible overhead on small scale(pxxl x2 in this context).

@Etlaha_1 @honour_can_code If webflow can do it, why does it need another backend? You see the contradiction in what you are saying? Let me rephrase it. I can do all these by myself but I need 2 people to join me to do it, we can be more since there's no limit... but the limit here is I can't do it alone.

@real_akinloye See, y'all can shade WP for all you care but you see PHP, don't even touch it. So let me start by asking what you mean by apex language. And yes, PHP scales and scales very well; the problem is how you build with it, which is the same for every language.

Is PHP an apex language? Because I no understand oo. When we talk about scalability no be plugins we dey talk. It last scalability in many ways plus WP is a non code/low code. Do you wanna compare WP to Langs that supports their own servers and other 35+ tech stack and co?
