POV: You’re coming home after a journey around the Moon. 🌕 Before reentering Earth’s atmosphere at the end of Artemis II, the Orion spacecraft’s crew module — carrying the astronauts — separated from the service module that provided propulsion and power throughout the mission.

I made this timelapse of Artemis 2's lunar flyby using some of the 12,000 photos that @NASA recently released ... I really hope they release the raw files soon as well so I can balance the exposures better between frames

Got something weighing you down? Shake it off (like Curiosity)! The Martian explorer unintentionally picked up a rock while drilling a recent sample, but the team was able to dislodge it by having the rover move its robotic arm and vibrate the drill until the rock fell off.

Of the thousands of new Artemis II images released the ones I like looking at most are the ones showing that they're taken from a spacecraft with people on it flying around the moon.

Timing is everything. Check out these images, taken today, of Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center. At 07:29 local time, Gen-3 captured an extreme off-nadir twilight shot of a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket on the pad before again catching the vehicle in flight at 10:13, 38 seconds after launch, as it was traveling more than 400 miles per hour. With time-diverse imaging capabilities and flexible imaging modes, Gen-3 sees relevant activity at all hours of the day.

Apollo 16 Orion lifted off from the Moon today in 1972 The TV camera is mounted on the LRV and received commands from Ed Fendell in Houston. The 16mm camera was inside the LM Ascent Stage.

@alexboge Before Falcon 9 those images where so rare, now we get new ones almost every week, anyone can just go there and see a launch. We're living in the best era for this stuff

NG-3 Update: We have confirmed payload separation. AST SpaceMobile has confirmed the satellite has powered on. The payload was placed into an off-nominal orbit. We are currently assessing and will update when we have more detailed information.
