Of course you’re not changing. You’re just becoming more of what you’ve always been. Everything is fine. Let’s have a picnic. 🇵🇸

this is so true bc i was sent to a military reeducation camp (which was rebranded as a therapeutic school lmao.) and despite it being "non-religious" we were forced to pray in the chapel for christian holidays which was just a way to enforce control over us
greg house apologist🇵🇸@transgreghouse
@verdant_2a5b21 I believe in some way church and military was all he grew up around even if his mother was canonically not a church woman nor a fan of the army. but I do believe greg was raised to be very disciplined and that surely involved church imo

@verdant_2a5b21 I have a whole fanfic about his childhood coming up soon but I really do believe his father, though not much a believer himself, ran a strict program for greg to keep with mass in military bases. we also know his "real father" was a pastor and close friend of the family so

@transgreghouse @verdant_2a5b21 church is so often associated with discipline and the "straight path" in military environments, and i feel like even american families that aren't super pious usually are strict about "believing in the lord" in a way that's deeply cultural rather than about faith ?
