Designed and 3D printed a lens cap for my 1950s stereo camera. To get a perfect fit I first quickly printed test rings that I tried on the lenses to dial in the size before printing the entire model

@chinbeard Yup, you called it! Froze without major leaking (just a tiny bit). We can now sleep easier knowing the answer to this important question 😂

I’m also kind of liking the fact that it’s impossible to share these backlit stereo film slides online - each analog shot is a one of a kind artifact, and that feels really precious in these times of throw-away media. No NFT or blockchain needed

Back in the 1950s stereo photography was the immersive spatial cutting edge tech of the day. I’ve been enjoying the deliberate process of shooting on an old Kodak camera, hand mounting slides, and passing around the 3D viewer and seeing people’s reactions

About a week ago I was up in Seattle hanging out with @kpimmel. He was teaching me about his old medium format cameras. Snapped this gem, got it developed, scanned, & sent it over yesterday. Thinking I may have to start a new series now called "Conversations with Dummies" 😂🤣

@repkord @themitch22 @sophywong I think there are some vintage lens that can mount on modern video bodies, would probably add some old school color and lens feel. I’m not super familiar with which ones fit which though

Something tells me its way cheaper / easier to just run a modern cam through a filter but what fun is that? #RetroStreamer
