GT players reached hotel at 11.30pm last night and you are expected to play the final in less than 24hours... what planning is this...it is happening for years and you will keep seeing top 2 teams winning always and that too the one which qualifies first for the finals...no player says a thing knowing bcci will get upset and he will lose money... players kya farak padta hai haare chahe jeete...think about the fans IPL organisers if you want a good final give 2-3 days break to the 2nd team also who qualifies for the final. No player can be fresh playing two such high pressure matches in 24hrs...look at how bad was RR in their 2nd match against GT and GT against RCB... again hope bowlers of GT can do some magic to make a match out it and win it for GT...wake up IPL @IPL @BCCI

@APTalksCricket GT missed a trick by not including Phillips into the batting line up at 4/5. Also Sundar should ba even better coming at 3 than Sindhu. Phillips could have also added some of best fielding and decent off spin. Sai, Gill, Sundar, Butler, Phillips, Holder, Tewatia, Rashid

Not gonna lie..i absolutely love it when teams and managements who do not respect the requirements of modern day T20 get exposed like this. They really thought they will compete against a T20 machine with 3 world class batters and 8 Jacks. One used data. Other exists on vibes.

@mxtaverse Sundar should have been better suited to play at 3 than Sindhu. Also GT missed a trick by not including Phillips at 4/5. You need experiment Finals and he could have bolstered that batting line up and also offered some of best fielding and decent off spin.

Both Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill are out for cheap when it mattered the most. Only good thing is that Orange Cap is now locked for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

@Rajiv1841 Finals need experience, GT should have got Phillips at 4 today. With Phillips, he could have done some magic in the field as well. They still should have got him as impact. With 6 proper bowlers, anyways they didn’t need any impact bowler later on.

Ashish Nehra is the biggest clown coach whose ass is getting saved because of Sai Sudarshan & Shubman Gill's brilliance at top. I mean Nishant Sindhu at 3/4 as specialist batter when in reality he is a bowling all rounder, then Washington Sundar again being used as pure batter who is also a bowling all rounder then comes Tewatia & Holder who are also bowling all rounders. I mean, okay you won games but wth don't you just buy proper batters at auction????? What is the point of team full of bowling all rounders whose bowling is not even used!

@Jvm_Manoj It was a poor call from management. Once they acquired Samson, they should have quietly talked to Gaikwad and would have mutually agreed to let Samson captain the team. All these could have been avoided had they shown some vision.

You want Ruturaj Gaikwad removed after one bad season, despite everything he has done for CSK over the last 4–5 years. That says a lot. Simple question: If Sanju Samson has one poor season after performing for years, will his fans ask for him to be dropped? No. They'll support him. We're doing the same with Ruturaj. When your favourite player struggles, you call it "backing your player." When we do the same for Ruturaj, suddenly it's called "PR" or "blind defending." What kind of logic is that? We criticize him when he deserves criticism too. But a lot of the comments against him clearly look more like bias than genuine cricket analysis. 👀

Final should have been in Bengaluru, as per the usual IPL as they are defending champions. But once again, it's in Ahmedabad, and now that GT has qualified, it gives them a huge home advantage.

@MSDian067 Yes that was the plan all about from BCCI. How insanely GT winning all the matches in Ahmedabad and then Ahmedabad was changed as Final venue mid way into the season. GT winning will ensure no one question that decision.

@Rajiv1841 It’s not unpopular but it’s the truth actually. Even international teams don’t have much competition nowadays but every IPL team can defeat each other on a given day. Some of them may even defeat a full international side. Also staying in form for 16-17 matches is no joke.

Unpopular Opinion - Winning an IPL trophy is far tougher than winning a T20I World Cup. Because in T20I WCs, there are barely 3-4 competitive teams & in IPL all teams are equally competetive due to auction dynamics.

@khelgyani_abhi Yes absolutely agree. Sanju as captain and bring Shreyas as VC. Patidar also needs to be in XI, may be at 5.

Journalists should stop their anti Sanju agenda. If anything, build a team with Sanju as a captain. He has toiled the hardset and set himself up for such responsibility. He won us the WC in February. Build a team around him. Yes, I would have liked Rajat or Iyer lead Indian team as some stage but this would not be justified move. Likes of Axar, Sanju and Bumrah. You don't want to repeat MI's shithousary
