@Mike_Bundt @Big4Basketball Agree. One of the dumbest things was to follow Nate Oats with an old (and I’m sure in very nice guy) and proven not winner vs a young gun. Why would Buffalo not continue the we-are-the-hot place to coach. Literally crazy.

At one point in time, UB basketball chose not to hire Bryan Hodgson because they didn’t believe he was mature enough to be a college head coach. Fast forward seven years and he’s 70-36 in three years as a head coach at Arkansas State and South Florida and just guided USF to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2012 and first conference tournament title since 1990. Hodgson is likely going to have his choice between the Syracuse/Providence jobs or staying in Tampa. He likely wouldn’t have stayed in Buffalo long but what a mistake by UB never giving him a chance back in 2019 and they’re still facing the consequences to this day.

@SyntheticSports Because “big schools” are a running a monopoly and want to keep $$ for themselves. The marginal “big schools” will not schedule games vs good mid majors.

Can someone explain why a 29-0 team is on the bubble in a 68 team tournament?

@awfulannouncing I’d wager a bottom teir SEC, A-10 whatever school (like auburn) would struggle in the MAC. It is literally why they all basically will not achedule good mid major teams.

I have a hard time seeing James Madison & Tulane in the CFP over Notre Dame and Vanderbilt. If the playoffs were designed to allow the 12 best teams to play for the title, then the selection process/rules failed this year. Nobody would pick either of those teams to beat ND.
