@HHHardwood I liked Bleechmore’s energy, but he was going to have a tough time getting minutes, especially with Cam coming back.

On the flip side, from yesterday, wing Louis Bleechmore is headed to the transfer portal. Bleechmore provided energy, intensity, and more during his minutes this past season. Enjoyable guy to get to know and root for. Brown’s return + Shawn Simmons’ arrival impacted his minutes.

From yesterday: St. Joe’s senior Cameron Brown announced that he’d be returning to Hawk Hill for his additional year of eligibility. Massive news for SJU. Brown averaged 13.3 points last season.

@HHHardwood I’ll be surprised if Fleming isn’t first team all A10 by end of next year. Selfishly I hope we get two more years out of him. We just need to capitalize on Reynolds, Greer and X Brown with Fleming. I see Winborne as a Ty Barley-type 6th man getting starter minutes too.

I’m biased. I’ve watched his growth over the last nearly 2 years. So…I’ll ask this question to all of you: how good can Rasheer Fleming be?

@HHHardwood Fleming has a LOT of tools and potential for a huge sophomore jump. Add that to a dangerous 3 guard lineup and this could be a really good team next year.

St. Joe’s freshman Rasheer Fleming had a career-high 12 rebounds tonight. It was his 3rd double-digit rebound game in his last 5 games. Fleming is averaging 7.6 points and 7.6 boards per game during those 5 games. Could be a legitimate double-double threat nightly next year.

@HHHardwood Speaking of the future, it was great to see some nice chemistry between Greer, Reynolds, Fleming and Winborne out there. Add Brown to the mix next year and this could be a really dangerous team.

Lynn Greer showed a lot tonight battling through that injury. He had 20 in the win. Over the last 11 games, dating back to the GW OT loss, he’s averaging 16.9 points per game. And he’s shooting 14-34 (41%) from 3. He’s really come a LONG way this season. Really bright future.

@HHHardwood Last nights win over Rhodi was one of the most "complete" games I've seen out of the Hawks in 4 years. Also some of the best defense I have seen them play in the Billy era..certainly seems like a switch has flipped. This is not the same team that started A10 play 0-4

St. Joe’s began A10 play 0-4, losing to Saint Louis, Dayton, Fordham, and Duquesne by a combined 49 points. The Hawks are now 5-5 in conference, with wins at home over Loyola Chicago, UMass, & URI, and on the road at La Salle & George Mason. Currently 7th place in the A10. Wild.

@HHHardwood I had thought the Fordham loss was the low point, but losing to Duquesne at home as a 3-point underdog is/should be the final straw. There is no coming back from this and I could see it on the players faces. Feel bad for Cam, having his best game in that environment.

I really don’t know what’s next. This team came into this year feeling, internally, that this year would be different. Terrific 2023 recruiting class. Excitement about this year. But here we are again. 4 games into the conference schedule. 0-4.

@HHHardwood I definitely expected a closer game against Dayton too. I think in the end it looked like the Hawks ran out of gas. Unfortunately Reynolds got shut down in second half but Winborne was a bright spot.

Bright spots for SJU? I thought Christian Winborne was really solid. 10 points for the freshman in the starting lineup. Again, can’t judge too much based on tonight. I did expect SJU to be better. I expected a closer game.

@Prusa3D @josefprusa Will the slicing tool create the braille copy with the proper dome to meet ADA requirements? If so, that could be a real game changer, especially if the braille copy can bond direct-to-substrate.

@HHHardwood That first half against Nova was the best basketball I’ve seen at the Fieldhouse in 5 years. This team clearly has it in them and Fleming is going to be a real difference maker. Want to see them play well against good competition though and not just the cupcakes.

St. Joe’s can finish the non-conference part of their schedule at 6-6 with a win Thursday. First two A10 games are Saint Louis at home then at Dayton. We’ll see when Christian Winborne is able to get back out there too.

@HHHardwood Hawks took the foot off the gas too soon against Lafayette and let them back in the game. Would love to see them play like they did against Albany with better competition. Georgia will be a good test.

St. Joe’s got pounded by Houston. They’re gonna do that to most teams this year. Back to back home wins for the Hawks now over Lafayette and Albany to get to 2-1. Next up? Georgia on Monday. That’ll be an interesting barometer for this team.
