That Alexander vs. Woodward Academy game today was one of the best games and displays of talent from the boys GHSA playoff season. Up there with Decatur vs. Milton and Walker vs. Hebron Christian and, of course, Woodward vs. Gainesville. If ya got the time... go watch em.

History making day for @OfficialGHSA as the Association votes to seed teams for the playoffs in all bracket sports (especially including football) starting next season! After decades of predetermined brackets (of which I have made known my disdain) the GHSA has voted to change. This will help eliminate those QF and SF type match-ups in the 1st and 2nd rounds that the predetermined brackets seem to always create. As Executive Director Dr. Scott pointed out, the goal is to get the best 8 teams in the QF, the best 4 in the SF and the best 2 (of course) in the Finals. 2026 5’10 PG @luhhzy_ out of Pebblebrook hs in GA is playing with Sewer South on the OTR circuit. The GA native is a quick twitch, lightning fast guard who’s a sniper from 3 with deep range. Shifty handle with good stop and start. Good off hand swipe. Very quick first step and burst off a live dribble. Good inside out hesi using off hand to fake a shot. Good touch step to bait blow by’s. Very good feel. Zips passes to cutters on a live dribble/triple threat, sees OPPs, sees throwbacks/over shoulder hook passes, and hits the roll on ball screens. Knows how to manipulate a ball screen: probes the drop, drags hedges out, evades the hedge to turn corner, and attacks switches. Has a stop and pop 1, 2 mid on the drop/evading the hedge/off moves in space. Has bump off mids as well. Good touch/off glass floater on the drop/off moves in space. Has high off the glass scoops, regular scoops, and inside hand scoop finishes. (off the wrong foot as well) Pro hops in lane. Has veers off 1 and 2 feet; as well as slice step reverses to cut in front of defenders trying to cut him off. High level shooter. Makes spots/relocations, under and drag the hedge out dribble pickup 3’s, dribble pickup 3’s off moves, step back/punch step back 3’s, and transition pulls. Very fast with the ball in open court which makes him very good making plays in transition. Defensive Fit: Guards perimeters.

GHSA Basketball playoff thoughts: 1. The final four should be played at Georgia State. Great facility, plenty of parking, hotels. 2. The elite 8 should be played at a neutral site. Can’t have a 1 seed playing a true road game in tourney 3. Do away with predetermined brackets!
