@ChrisCushman2 I understand the character, I know it’s implied she is dating Grace. But because the movie has their romantic relationship happening off-screen (I assume the books are more detailed) the date scene in the karaoke bar ends up feeling like a waste of time

Project Hail Mary was a good movie, but did we really need a five minute karaoke scene to show us the scary government lady was also a human being with feelings?

According to the book, Eridians are mineral puppets piloted by a colony of "worker cells" (like bees in a mobile hive). They evolved in conditions of high temperature and pressure. Still, I think we'd expect to see symmetry and segmentation even in such an exotic extremophile.

Point being the standard advice of “use the article’s citations as a resource to begin research” isn’t always effective.

The Wikipedia accuracy debate is long over, but I will say if you dig around in the citations many of them are broken links or low quality sources.

Rereading “A Canticle for Leibowitz”. Although it’s one of my favorite books, the last chapter focuses on a painful and prolonged theological debate about the morality of physician-assisted suicide which I found kind of exhausting.
