Compacted soil can show up as uneven crop or slower early growth. It keeps oxygen out and slows the biological activity in the soil that crops depend on. H-Start helps restore that activity so plants grow evenly across the field. loom.ly/U4oxID4 #SoilHealth #SoilBiology

Have saline patches in your field? Soil microbes help build stable soil aggregates. That means better drainage, less salt build-up around roots and a healthier rooting zone. loom.ly/Z8UrO6A #WestCdnAg #SoilHealth #SoilBiology

Recommendations for keeping caraganas under control? Hoping to prevent these fence lines from turning into a jungle again!

Disease suppressive soils support plants when they need it, lowering the impact from soil-borne disease. H-Start increasing diversity and density of beneficial fungi and bacteria, increasing soil functionality.

In the future, could your soil help fight soil-borne diseases? Maybe it's not so far in the future. Imbalances in soil microbes are proving to be an opportunity for soil borne diseases to take hold in crop land. Could your soil be the weapon your crops need?

Fungi are critical players in the ecosystem and have a tremendous role in agriculture and in the soil microbiome. Unfortunately, when things get out of balance, fungi can cause disease. Why does this disease happen? Learn more: hubs.la/Q03hFDj00

@Kotyjo I did a Kohler kit into a 318. Came out of the states somewhere - was a few years ago. Worked great. Plug & play.

Ok, I have a problem. We blew the motor in our old 317 Deere garden tractor. Yes they had a shitty motors and usually crash. So, has anyone changed the motor out, and what did they add instead? Plus, any tips? Thanks

Low pH brings challenges in productivity and nutrient availability. A-horizon acidification is a topic of discussion in many areas. Explore the utility of increasing microbial diversity in low pH soils.
HumaTerra@HumaTerraRegen

Not all fertilizers have the same impact on soil pH. Nitrogen fertilizers containing ammonium contribute to acidification over time. If you see lower pH levels, your fertilizer program may be part of the reason. loom.ly/ktLHbaA #WestCdnAg #SoilHealth

How Soil Microbes Help: Stabilized Soil: Better H2O infiltration, rooting zones, reduced salt rise. Mycorrhizal Fungi: Increase and buffer roots, access nutrients. PGPR: Boost nutrients, improve stress tolerance, disease protection. EPS: Protect seeds and plants, bind salts.

My grandpa is 91 today! Some fun facts: Struck by lightning twice Thrown in jail by the wheat board for trying to sell his grain to the highest bidder but took them on and won! Got kicked out of a broomball tournament for putting spikes through his cowboy boots 🤣. What a life! He is a legend!

I have worked closely with commercial growers for over 4 decades. The changes in agronomic practices are making soil healthier every year. It’s a journey of change and opportunity to increase production potential.
